I have decided to sell my 1981 Corvette due to financial reasons. My wife recently had our second child, a baby girl! So unfortunately I have to sell the vette. There are many good things about the car; however I will list the good and not so good. I live in Ft. Myers, FL and enjoy driving the car once a week or so. The good things are as follows: Very shiny maroon paint with a good clear coat. The body and undercarriage are in good shape, no dents or dings. The windows are all there and they go up and down with ease (power windows). The undercarriage is clean and shows a little surface rust. All four calipers are new as well as the soft brake lines. The brakes work perfect, no pulling. Shocks are good. The front end has had some work done such as end links, etc. The steering is tight, not sloppy. Power steering works perfect. No oil leaks, smoke or knocks. Newer Edelbrock 4 bbl carb. Engine starts right up, runs smooth and cool. HEI with new wires. Auto trans shifts through all gears smoothly including reverse. All lights including turn signals and brake lights work fine. T tops remove easily and all chrome underneath is in good shape. On the inside, the seats have no rips or cracks and the carpet is good. Tach, temp and gas gauge work fine. Tires are in great shape and have plenty of tread left. Wheels are nice, no scratches or nicks. Runs and drives great! The not so good: Speedometer, horn, clock and oil gauge do not work. There are a couple small cracks/chips here and there on the body. I will post some pictures of them. Windshield is cracked. Headlights do not pop up when you turn them on. I just push the bar up. The lights work fine though. Missing a window trim piece on the passenger side. Power lock buttons are not there. Do not have the face for the radio so I have no idea if it works. The car is not perfect; however it looks and runs great. I get lots of compliments. This car is something you can enjoy and not a trailer queen. Just a couple things here and there and this car will be even better. I hate to sell it but it looks like I have to. On Sep-05-11 at 04:49:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention there is a small amount of rust on the bottom of the doors and the air does not blow. I am not sure why the air does not blow as I have not looked into it. All air components are there. Couple paint chips on front of T-tops. I do have a clean clear title in my name in hand.
