Vehicle Detail
This is a 1965 Corvair two-door 110 Monza Coupe with four on the floor. This car was the 9,094th Monza manufactured during the third week of February, 1965 in the GM plant Los Angeles. It was the 17,260th Corvair produced in 1965. A California car all of its life. Original black and gold plates .. yes, those are the original plates you see in the pictures. They were sanded down to the metal, hand straightened, and professionally repainted. I believe that I am the fifth owner. First owner 1965-1966, second owner 1966-2001, third owner 2001-2003 .. and so on. In 2003 the engine was pulled, completely disassembled and a new cam and cam gear installed and valves reseated. As long as you start this Corvair every week it will start easily with a few pumps on the accelerator. If it sits for longer than a week or two it might require a little gas in each carb to get’er going. The list of new parts and spare parts that come with the car is long. There are brand new Carger rims, brand new tires with less than 50 miles on them (I will also include the original rims and tires in this sale) brand new carbs, new trunk and engine seals, new stereo and speakers (You cannot see the stereo in the pictures as it is installed in the glove box) the list goes on … the black paint is less than 1 year old – not a good paint job and there are the usual nicks and scratches you might expect from a car that is driven. This is a great project car for someone interested in a 65 Corvair Monza. I have records on this car going clear back to 1965 and a ton of spare parts. I would say that the car runs well but could certainly use a good tune-up. Paint is ok with plenty of little nicks and scratches, brakes are good, always starts. Please contact me with any questions.
