Vehicle Detail

This auction if for a 1984 Chevy K10 4X4 with the 6.2L V8 Diesel motor. I love this truck, but I simply have too many cars. The truck currently has 90K miles and this is accurate to the best of my knowledge. There is no hitch on the truck and never has been (other than bumper), so it has not been used as a tow vehicle. This is not a CUCV, M1008, or M1009. This is a K10 with the 6.2 Diesel. It has a short bed, 4 Speed Automatic, Dual Tanks, A/C, Power Window, Power Locks, and cruise. From what I am told, it’s a pretty rare truck. On to the good stuff. The truck has a 6” suspension lift, Allied Beadlock Wheels, 35” BFG KM2’s, MM 8500lb winch (mounted behind the bumper), Hi-Lift Jack, CUCV Military Brush Guard (mounted to the bumper brackets), Fabtech Spare Tire mount in bed, and 4 Hella H4 Headlights. There is a Hella Xenon mining lamp on the rear fender that comes on automatically when put into reverse. It is also hardwired to come on with a switch. The Transmission was updated from the weak 1984 700R4, to the newer style 700R4. It was built specifically for this truck. It has a shift kit, much larger Torque Converter, and I believe a 2000 lockup. It has the NP208 Transfer Case that was also recently rebuilt. I am also including 4 Rapid Air Down valves for airing down the tires and stopping at a set PSI. Here is a list of the things replaced (with all new parts, nothing used) in the past 2K miles: 5 35” x 12.5” BFG KM2 Tires 5 Allied REAL Beadlock Wheels (15x10) Mile Marker 8500lb winch, control box is mounted under the hood NOTE: this is the only winch on the market that can be mounted upside down without clutch drag. Entire Power Steering system (gearbox, hydroboost, ball joints, tie rod ends, PS pump, PS lines) Front rotors, hubs, calipers, and pads. Front Hubs were replaced with Warn manual locking hubs Stereo (Sony Head Unti with IPOD tray that puts Ipod inside radio), amp, JL Sub Alarm with starter kill, also operates power locks Window Tint Dual 2.5” Flowmaster Mufflers, custom bent 2.5” pipes from manifolds back, dual turndowns dumping behind the rear axle, all heavy duty mounts. Dual Battery’s, one is marine, one is normal battery Door pin switches Heavy Duty Alternator and wiring Glow Plug Relay Wiper Blades (Beam Blades) High Beam switch in Steering Column (this is a pain to fix) K&N filter Intake gaskets Injection Pump and Fuel pump (lift pimp) Fuel lines, Fuel Filter, Jumper lines (from injector to injector), Jumper Line Clamps License Plate Lights 4 Hella H4 Conversion Headlights (low beams moved to bottom set) (re-wired and relayed) Built 700R4 Racing Transmission Vacuum Lines Spare Tire Mount Atlanta Driveline Driveshafts and u-joints All 3 belts The truck drives very well for a lifted truck on 35’s. Surprisingly, it rides pretty well and stops pretty well. It is by no means a luxury car, but very mild mannered for such a capable truck. The only rust spot is under the driver side battery tray. The dirt/mud here in Georgia is red clay, and it stains. The undercarriage has its share of it. The truck really hasn’t been off road too much, it was basically a street truck. The winch has never been used, other than winding the cable and oiling it. It gets 20-25MPG if you keep you drive it like an adult and don’t use the A/C. I always put a small bottle of 2 stroke oil in with the fuel, since they began using ultra low sulfur diesel here. The fuel has been turned up, but it was tuned with a pyrometer, not just a guestimate. It runs great and really doesn’t produce too much smoke. Everything works on it. The AC has been retrofitted to R143 and blows ice cold. Both power windows work, the passenger side switch is new, but there is a break in the wire somewhere. You can roll it up and down, but only from the drivers switch. The cruise control works, but the stock needs replaced. I don’t do any highway driving, so I left it. All brake lights, turn signals, headlights, and dome lights work. The only known problem is a very small intermittent leak on the passenger side tank. If you park it with a full tank, it will leak a few ounces. It is intermittent, so just use the driver side tank. You can use both on a road trip. If you run the A/C on a 100 degree day for 20-30 minutes in stopped traffic on asphalt, the water temp will start to climb up. The truck never came with an electric fan, it might be a wise investment if you live in a hot climate with heavy traffic. If you turn off the AC, it goes right back down. It has never boiled over, ever. Again, this is only in heavy traffic, only with the A/C on. It does have a block heater and runs great in cold weather as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this truck across the country tomorrow. I know every inch of the truck and have done most of the work myself (automotive engineer). I have used nothing but Synthetic Fluids in every part of this truck. It was repainted prior to my owning it. It was always a brown truck. It’s a truck and has been off the pavement a few times. It has some dents and dings, but doesn’t look like it has ever been in an accident. The interior is clean, but the seats and dash have some cracks. It’s a great truck, I simply have too many vehicles and don’t drive too much anymore. NOTE: the two driving lights on the brush guard were removed and upgraded to 2 Hella LED off road lights.
