1972 Ford Bronco Project If you've been thinking about restoring your very own Ford Bronco, look no further. I cannot stress enough what a fabulous opportunity this is for the right person. I started restoring this Bronco about 6 years ago, and spared no expense. I ordered and installed all the top-of-the-line products, with extreme attention to detail that the average person wouldn't even notice. This project truly was my baby, but now I have to sell her, because I don't have the time to finish. The price is firm and doesn't even cover all the parts, never mind the years worth of labor. I truly want her to get into the right hands, so that she may be restored to her original glory (I'd say she's about 50% done & and I've completed the harder tasks, including most of the fiberglass measurements). The pictures below don't do justice to the cleanliness of the chassis, nor the level of detail of this project. Details: Terra Comp Fiberglass Tub; 2010 Model. Most holes drilled. Already mounted on the Frame. Terra Comp is the only Tub on the Market that looks like a Steel Body. This is the best steel reinforced tub on the market. Cost delivered was $4.5K just for the Tub. Never worry about rust again!! New Galvanized Steel Tailgate with all new SS Hardware (License Plate, Plate Bulb with Wiring, Hinge Silencers, Handle, Backing Plate etc). Inside has also had Eastwood Anti Rust applied. Spent over $600 on the Tailgate with all the Hardware. Reconditioned Hardtop with new Side Window Seals, SS Locking Handle & Wild Horses Hydraulic Lift Gate Shocks. Top was entirely coated in Durbank Textured White after it was stripped/cleaned with all new seals applied in the Drip Rail. Top is as solid as it gets and with the Textured Finish it is very Durable. Spent $1K for the Roof and all the reconditioning. Frame was cleaned, welds smoothen and painted inside & out with Eastwood Chassis Black. No Rot/Rust. Frame has welded Front James Duff Original Style Shock Hoops, Classic Rear Double Shock Mounts, Trac Bar Drop Bracket & Adjustable Radius Arm Brackets already welded on. Spent $500 on cleaning, painting & welding the components onto the frame. I Have the original Steel Front Nose, Windshield (With Chrome Trim), Dash as well as the Cowl for measurements. Dash, Grill and Hood are in decent shape and could be reused however the Fenders, Windshield and Core I would only use for their measurements. I do not have the Seats, Front Bumper, Roll Bar, Radiator or Steering Column as I was planning on buying new. I would also recommend a new wiring harness and a Front Disk Brake Conversion to match the Rear Disks already installed. I would say the project is about 60-70% done. Original Front Doors with Chrome in great shape. I sand blasted the Door Hinges and have the Oversize Pins ready to install. New Door Strikers installed onto the Tub for the Doors as well. 1991 Ford Mustang HO 302 Motor, 4BBl Carb with Stand and Lift Plate. Solid Compression Ratio prior to removal (I do have the numbers recorded). Frame already has new Extreme Duty Motor Mounts. The Stand and Lift Plate are included as w ell. I Have the original Manual Steering Box with T Style Steering Linkage as well. New Wild Horses Adjustable 23 Gallon Body Lift Gas Tank with new Filler/Vent Hose & Cap. Filler Neck has been reconditioned as well. Spent $500. New BC Bronco's Fuel & Brake Lines with new Proportioning Valve/Bracket & Fuel Filter installed. New BC Bronco's Rear Disk Brake Conversion installed with Calipers. This is one of the few kits which includes an Emergency Brake Feature. New BC Broncos Extended Rear Brake Lines and new Emergency Cables. I also Reconditioned the Emergency Brake Pedal Assembly. Spent $1.5K. I Have the original 3-Spd Rat Style Manual Transmission which needs to be rebuilt. New James Duff Floor Mounted Matching Shifters installed with Walnut Knobs (3-Spd & Dana 20 Case). New Fiberglass Tunnel Cover and new Adjustable Linkage. Dana 40 T-Case was inspected, cleaned, painted and new Seals installed. New Speedo Cable. New James Duff T-Case Skid Plate. New James Duff Transfer Case Mounts. Spent over $1k. Rear End is a Ford 9 Inch Medium Bearing with new center section from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard with 4.11 Open Gear Ratio and new Yukon 31 Spline Axles & Bearings/Seals. New James Duff Skid Plate have been installed. Very Stout Rear End; Spent over $1.5K on the Rear End. Four New 235-75R15 Tires (Zero Miles) mounted on Powder Coated White Original Steel Rims with Early Bronco Hub Caps. Have extra Hub Caps as well. Sent over $500. Rear Suspension has a 3.5" Suspension Lift via new James Duff 11 Pack Leaf Springs. New Spring & Shackle Bushings as well as Four new James Duff Shocks. New extended length Rear Drive Shaft with U-Joint from Wild Horses. New Wild Horses Extreme Duty Rear U-Bolt Kit. New James Duff Axle Bump Stops. 2" Wild Horses Body Lift with Body Mount Inserts installed. Wild Horses Adjustable Clutch Rod for the Body Lift. Total Lift is 5.5" and with all the components including the components welded on the Frame. Cost was over $2K. Front Dana 44 has been cleaned/painted and is ready for rebuild. Still has the Original 3.50 Gear Ratio. New Front Coil Spring Cups from BC Broncos. New James Duff C-Bushings. Strut Arms have been cleaned/painted and new Bushings installed. New James Duff Front Bump Stops. Trac Arm with new Bushings installed. New Warn Premium Hubs with Fuses for the Front End. Spent $200 so far. New Rear Stock Style Chrome Bumper. Spent $100. New Rear Tail Light Lenses & SS Bezels including the side SS Marker Lights. Spent $80. Entire Heater Assembly has been rebuilt with new Seals, Core, Motor & New Intake Hose. Spent $200. Entire Brake, Accelerator & Clutch Pedal Assembly have been reconditioned with new Bushings and Pads. Spent $50. I have the Title (Just need to get it transfered into my name), Bins of Parts removed from the starting point, Shop Manuals, as well as any instructions for the items purchased. I will also provide all the pictures that I took prior to disassembly. I also have about three years forth of Bronco Driver Magazines if interested. In addition, I'll also include a USB memory Stick with the Build Process Photos to date. I may have left out a few other items but after 6 years it is hard to remember everything. Total Investment (Parts Only) has been well over $15K – I’d hate to add up the receipts. If you're looking for an Early Bronco Project this is it!! Flip threw the Vendor Magazines and you'll recognize most parts that I've purchased. With a little bit of work, this will be one mean ride that can be used year round and not worry about rust. Must See!!! Bring a Trailer - You will not be disappointed!!! - Once the Bank Check clears, usually 1-3 Days, the Vehicle is yours. I WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE CHECK CLEARS. If you are not local and will be picking the vehicle up yourself, check must be first mailed to me and once cleared, the vehicle can be taken. I am not interested in any Trades.
