Vehicle Detail

Just the things you LOVE to see while shopping for a car...."ONE OWNER"....and..."VOLVO" in the same sentence! Private Party in Good Condition value on this car via Kelly Blue Book (KBB.com) is $4945!! Sorry for the delay in this ad....my photo hosting was down and I couldn't get it finished. Also for the dim pictures, it was getting late and I wanted to get this car shown! I'm currently driving this car for my daily driver. It's in exceptional condition. Easily a 9 out of 10 exterior with only the 2 minor dents and I can count on one hand the amount of doordings. Front nose has the typical rock chips but those, even, are very minimal! Front and rear bumper covers are in great shape too! I've logged over 200 miles in this car to ensure it's reliability for your trip home. Tires can't have more than 500 miles on them. Matching Firestones all the way around on vibration-free rims. Speeds at 70-80mph are smooth and safe. No pulling. No clunking or suspension noises. A complete joy to drive and plenty powerful thanks to it's turbocharged engine! Some may not like the emerald green color, but on the Cross Country, with it's dark trim and in this case, black interior, it looks gorgeous! Normally the euro cars come with tan interiors. Body panels are nice. No visible rust. Exterior shows as if it were an 80k car! The "above range" Autocheck shows an accident. Upon inspection, I found a hardly noticeable paint/tape line at the right rear quarter/door. It is a perfect repair. I can't even tell, no paint shade differences or anything. Unfortunately, that same panel has a light dent in it (see pics below). I can't see any dings....I only announce em just in case you find one!! The only eyesore on the rear gate is the faded ORIGINAL Grossinger Volvo dealer sticker. They are a large dealership up north. Still around today. Rear bumper has a few scuffs and scratches, but hardly seen until you squat down and look. Above you can see the dent...it looks as if someone leaned into it hard or a basketball hit it, etc. Probably can pop it out if you pull the interior panels inside. I'd leave it and drive! Above you can barley see the other dent I spoke of. Again...like a knee kick or ball strike. Can probably pop this one out as well. My favorite part of the car some days!!! The engine compartment!! So clean you can eat off the underside of the hood! Seriously. Recent Everstart battery is strong. I pulled worn Volvo spark plugs and installed new Autolites in place. Oil is clean. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. Not leaving any spots on my shop floor overnight. The upper rubber motor mount has seen better days. Typical for the AWD cars to wear these down. I don't have the newer versions in stock, otherwise I'd have replaced it. You can get a quality aftermarket polyurethane mount online for about $40. Use those as they last longer and are easier to install at home. Factory ones are press-in. 2 things I would address immediately....timing belt is due to be changed. I will supply you with a new belt, you get it installed. It's a 2 hour job TOPS! Book time is 1.5 hours. Anyone that tells you it's longer? Walk away and find a new mechanic. I would do it but I have too many things on my plate. The 2nd....if you don't let the fuel pump prime when turning on the ignition, the car is hard starting. If you pause before hitting the start switch, it starts fine. It runs strong and does NOT have any fuel related power issues. So....I'd suggest it's time for a fuel filter replacement for starters. Yes, the pump may be weak, but considering the power and no stuttering or hesitations or lack of fuel pump whine (signs of a weak pump), I'd blame it on the filter. With these miles, it's time, just to be safe. I've inspected the entire car as I do ALL my cars. ALL the suspension and brake components are great. No slop. No looseness. I replaced the right upper strut mount that was bad with a NEW Volvo piece and that was the ONLY thing I could find. No worries for you!! BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE! Please inspect my excellent feedbacks!! GOOD LUCK! NO RESERVE!! Interior is an EZ 9 out of 10 as well. Driver's bolster is barely worn. No holes or cuts or rips in the leather. DUAL REAR integrated child safety seats with center armrest cup (or bottle) holders. FULLY OPTIONED AND LOADED!! Heated seats. ICE COLD AIR! Power locks (passenger front unlock is finnicky), windows, sunroof, cruise. Loaded up airbags, ABS, and Traction control. Center armrest pad is worn a bit. Passenger rear outside door handle doesn't open door from outside, only from inside. Probably just a clip missing to the actuator. Easy to reach in and use interior handle. Above you can see all the dummy lights illuminate except the "service" light which is only a reminder to go to the dealer. The other light that is out is the "check engine" bulb. Even tho there wasn't any reason to run the codes....I ran the codes...or checked to see if there were any. There weren't any stored or current codes. I don't see any signs of anyone pulling the entire dash off to remove the bulbs, so with it's mileage, I'd assume they truly are burnt out. Actually works in your favor since Emissions control centers won't pass your car with the Check Engine light on! Check the Autocheck, you can see this car recently passed Chicago Illinois area emissions! Above you can see the safety seat setup!! Volvo thought of EVERYTHING!! Complete spare setup is intact. Sorry....No 3rd row seating. No factory manuals. No floormats. No keyfobs and only ONE key comes with this car. Yes it's the transponder type, but there are PLENTY of aftermarket companies that will come to YOU to make and program a new key for way less than the dealer! Again...no worries with purchasing this car. Clean one owner title in hand! GOOD LUCK!! Venue of sale is Will County, Illinois. ALL BUYERS are responsible for $99 DOC fee. ALL ILLINOIS BUYERS responsible for 7% sales tax, $99 License Plate fee (or $30 current valid plate transfer fee), $95 Title fee. ALL COOK COUNTY (Chicago area) BUYERS responsible for 8.25% sales tax. There are about 8 other states that I (unfortunately) have to collect tax....but it's usually at a discount vs. regular in state. Vehicle is sold AS-IS/AS-SHOWN with no warranty expressed or implied. Please follow deposit and payment instructions posted. Cash is King! After full payment is made, you will receive vehicle (as shown/stated in this ad), title, associated paperwork and key(s). Please email or call regarding out of state pickup at local train station (Union Station-Joliet, IL) or closest airport (Midway-Chicago-MDW). I will happily assist in pickup for a fee to cover my time and fuel costs. On Aug-31-11 at 18:42:18 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE!!! Buyer WILL RECEIVE the new timing belt along with a new fuel filter at no extra charge! All you will need to cover is installation! I just want to ease your mind and mine! GOOD LUCK!
