1984 Honda Nighthawk

If your looking at this you know how hard these are to find. This RARE 1984 Honda Nighthawk cb700s is complete. Just over 20,000 miles. It's gonna need some TLC as it has been in storage a number of years. I had intended on restoring this eventually, as I always enjoyed riding it. A few years ago I got my wife a Yamaha v-star 1100 cruiser and really fell for it and the cruiser style. So I got one for myself. Keeping the intention of restoring the Nighthawk--someday! Well The garages are full of my intentions and it is time to let someone else have this one. Look at the pictures. It is in decent shape for 28 years old, but it's gonna need some TLC. As I was cleaning it up, I saw some things I dont remember being wrong with the bike. Dent on the gas-tank on the right side, as well as the fairing being cracked and epoxied. Not sure when/where these happened, but I am thinking it got tipped in the garage and the kids didnt mention it. It would be safe to say, the bike hasn't been ridden in over 5 years. Last week I turned the key and the headlight came on, but there wasn't enough battery charge to turn over the motor. I put the battery on the charger over night. drained the oil and put in fresh. The next day I added gas and it started right Up, on full-choke. was able to rev it and have it idle with no choke. Tires still had full air. I took it for a quick ride up the street and back. brakes need adjusting. I am no mechanic and Don't know what should all be done to this before it is ridden any distance as I said it has sat for quite awhile- Indoors. Tires are not dry rotted or anything, that I can see. Oil was drained and replaced wit New before starting or driving the bike. Tachometer needle is broken, tach still works, gas gauge does not appear to be working. Gear selector on gauge works fine. Like I said I am no mechanic and not sure what you will all want to know or what will need to be done before this is a daily driver- perhaps nothing besides the brakes- I am not sure. Bike is sold As-Is. It is 28 years old and I am sure it is gonna need some going over. Look at the pictures and ask any questions.
