I bought this 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 A Few months ago and now I am moving to a smaller house with no space for the car, I hate to let the car go because it is so rare but I thought it could be treated much better by someone with the space for it. The car is a factory 302 2bl with a factory 4 Speed, both are in working order although the clutch is basically gone, so I am also including the one that i bought to replace that one with, It is just a stock replacement clutch, nothing racy or fancy. The car starts, runs and idles wonderfully once it has warmed up. The brakes need to be bled all around but the zirks have been monkeyed with and have been stripped, maybe even from my doing, so right now It would be unsafe to drive. The body has rust on the lower rear quarters and that is the only place. The interior is the deluxe XR-7 leather interior with the rear seat being spotless, no rips, tears or any of that, but the fronts have had their use and are ripped up and will need new foam and leather, the dash pad is warped from the sun as well but those are the worst parts of the interior. If you have any questions, please ask. I might also entertain trades of Pre-72 Vehicles in daily drivable running condition. Prefer Volkswagen Buses. Send me your offers I would also entertain trades of a 2000 and newer daily drivable car that gets 25+ MPG I just noticed that i put the car has the 4bl but it really has the 2bl.
