I have been the owner of this car for the last 3 years now and I have learned a lot from it. A lot of time, blood, sweat, and tears have been put into this car to sadly get rid of her for financial reasons. I will list everything good or bad about this car, I will be up front about everything and will make sure that you will not be thrown through a loop. STARTING INFO: *The car only has 48,950 miles on it, which is rare to see these days on a 97 GST Spyder. *The paint is in fairly great shape, most of the car looks really good except for the wing which has some sun fade on the drivers side (Picture).*There are a few dents and "door" dings along the sides of the car, the joys of living in an apartment and having people that do not care about others property. *Its a true Black on Black convertible, you don't see those too often anymore. THE GOOD: *The car is my daily driver, so I know that it is reliable for the daily commute. *No shaft play real MHI EVO 3 16G Turbo was installed only 8 months ago, it was a slightly used one when I bought it but total miles on the turbo are less than 500. It has not been raced or punished in any way. I have it set at stock boost (12psi) and have no plan to change it before it is sold. Capable of well over 300hp and 18psi of boost if you wish to. *Brand New Punishment Racing FMIC which flat black 2.5" tubing. *Just picked up a 1g Blow Off Valve to replace the leaking stock bov. *Ported stock exhaust manifold and ported o2 housing. *Short throw shifter.*Cd Player deck is new with iPod hook up in the back side with brand new Sony xplod speakers all around. No subs. (I hide my *iPod in the glove box and run cable into the back of it so no one knows I have one in there). (Picture) *Interior is in fairly good shape for being a convertible *Nice 17x7" black rims with a chrome lip (Less than 300 miles on them) *Lightly used bf goodwrench tires with less than 300 miles on them. *2.5" Cat Back exhaust *Halo Headlights in great shape *95 Eprom ECU, ready to be chipped for dsmlink if you wish to. *Passes emissions no problem for the last 3 years *All maintenance has been kept up to date. Oil Changes, etc. ( I'm OCD about that) *Stock alarm system is still active. I was not given the keyless remote for it but it does activate when you lock the car from the inside and deactivates when you unlock from the outside.*Convertible top is in great condition (the cloth top)(Picture) *A/C and HEAT both work great!!! I am an adult and I take care of my car, it has never been "raced" or bashed in any way. I am a DSM fan and I love these cars. *With this car you will also get all of the stock parts that were taken off ( Stock air intake, stock bov, stock intercooler rubber piping and intercooler core, stock blown t25 turbo, and stock ecu), as well as a few new parts that were never installed (Aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, Fake carbon fiber strut tower bar, I also have new boost and oil pressure gauges that were going to be installed under the radio in the din slot, but have not had the chance to have them installed. (Picture) THE BAD :(*Convertible top does not go down or up under its own power, only took the top down about 5 times anyways so I never had it looked at. It will go down and back up just fine manually. *Back left quarter window does not roll down correctly, I think its not correctly on its track. *The driver side window switch panel was poorly put on by the person that put it on before me. It works just fine but is not correctly put on and has a random screw in it. A junk yard or eBay will get you going for cheap.*The passenger air bag cover is starting to come off, very common. Some gorilla glue will fix that fast.*The sun visors cloth cover is starting to come off, normal with age. Could use a quick re-upholstery or swap to black ones.*The only gear that grinds is reverse when the car is warm, otherwise its all smooth shifting. *The car does have a small boost leak and under heavy load does seem to hesitate a little, but under medium load the car boosts just fine. Should be a very easy fix.*The car has a rebuilt title only because of having a minor wreck and was later sold at auction, car was then taken car of and inspected by the state safety board before being registered by me for the first time*. *I went a bit far into detail on the bad but I want to be fully upfront about any issues that the car has. It may look like a big list but all could be taken care of in a day or two. *Car is listed as: AS IS. There is no warranty on the car and everything I have said in this auction is everything that I know about the car either good or bad.
