1965 Thunderbird This car has been a daily driver since we have owned it. We have driven this car almost every single day over the past fourteen months. Selling due to finances. We do not take the car out without waves, honks or a “thumbs up.” It does need some work to be a showroom car, but it has a lot going for it. I will try to describe the good and bad as best that I can... The Good: The body is basically very solid. The seats and head liner are in very good condition Recent full tune up, new belts and hoses Serviced within the past eight months and runs great Has new (rebuilt) factory carburetor New (rebuilt) starter New battery New set of four tires All new exhaust Has rear fender skirts The Bad: The rear passenger quarter panel needs some work – see photo (others available) There is some surface rust in the hood mostly and the paint is faded all around – see photos Needs both front door panels (about $300 for both on eBay) Needs carpet The dash is cracked Missing two, or three pieces of side trim and other than that is fully complete The Other: The original AM radio works whenever it feels like on the single rear mid-seat speaker, but it has a brand new under dash stereo with CD and iPod input. Dash clock is frozen, but I am told they can easily be taken apart, cleaned and lubed and made to work as good as new. All of the lights work including the sequential tail lights, but the interior turn signal indicators work only once in awhile. This is an original A/C car but the compressor and dryer were removed prior to our purchase. Front windows work fine. Driver's side has brand new motor. Passenger side works, but is slower than the new one on the driver's side. Rear windows do not work probably due to wiring issues - wires are not run to center console and have been rigged into doors directly. All glass in good shape. As far as I know this is pretty much all original. The odometer reads 36,464 miles which I am positive is not actual mileage! I have tried my best to describe this car as accurately as possible, both good and bad. Like I said, this has been a daily driver and has never had any mechanical issues beyond needing a new starter since we had the car serviced. If you have any questions please ask.
