for sale 1978 firebird formula 350, excellent no rust body and paint. Minor chips on door edge. Bought it for my sons a couple of years ago while he was still in high school (now out of the house). To be upfront he blew the engine and transmission before he left so I had both overhauled by appropriately qualified shops in town. so engine and xmsn have less then a hundred miles since overhauled. New radio/cd/mp3 system installed. car is in good shape and turns heads when you drive but as a 30+ year old it could use some small cosmetics in the interior the top of the dash doesnt lay flat, the little storage compartment on the hand rest needs replacing, and at one time it looks like it was black and was painted gold to match the rest of the interior. seats are in excellent conditions no rips or tears etc. as you can see it doesnt need much (I have some additional items- new matching door panel and light grill, that go with the car either way the car is sold as is. it is sold as is and while the transmission and engine have a one year warranty I don’t know that it transfers with the car but I can call the shops specially if you are in the area or I can give you the shop numbers and you can call. Great car to drive and enjoy that is sold as is specially for some one who likes the older muscle cars but doesn’t want a full project vehicle .On Aug-31-11 at 18:25:40 PDT, seller added the following information: question regarding work done on engine - rather then me try to explain what Im not an expert on, I I added a picture of the reciept that shows what the shop overhaul work entailed. I did note that while it purss and is smooth runing engine now, I took it out yesterday and noted it smokes a little around 70 mph so I will contact them and get that resolved.On Sep-01-11 at 18:22:51 PDT, seller added the following information: speedometer indicates20-30 mph more then actual so speedometer cable could use replacing
