1990 MERCEDES 300D 2.5L TURBO DIESEL SEDAN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR THE AGE VERY VERY PRETTY CAR! EXTERIOR: Gorgeous Light Blue with Dark Blue Interior. Body is in EXCELLENT SHAPE for the age and mileage. As you can see there is basically no rust on the body. There is a small rust bubble under the left rear tail light. There is also a very small dent on the trunk lid bottom. I did not even notice it until the car was on the lift for a complete A-Z inspection. The engine is excellent, The transmission shifts well through all the gears. This is a 4 speed automatic transmission giving you about 30-36 MPG. There is no known paint or bodywork on the car we could see. All panels look original with the matching VIN stickers. The paint looks excellent, no paint fading on the car nor is there any clearcoat peeling. Glass is all in excellent shape. INTERIOR: Interior is EXCELLENT for the age and mileage. The driver seat has a tear as shown- this is very common on these mercedes. VERY RARE HEATED SEATS AND AIR LUMBAR SUPPORT SEATS!! IT ALSO HAS A NICER ARM REST WITH SMALL STORAGE COMPARTMENT!! The seat switches were JUST rebuilt and they work fine. The driver seatback plastic switch front is loose. Switch itself is %100. SONY AM-FM-CD player installed. The antenna was replaced after the pictures taken- it now has an OEM (Hirschmann) antenna but it will need the antenna mast. NON SMOKING OWNER (me and the last owners), NO PETS IN THE CAR. Vehicle was driven about 200 miles and it drives like a *DREAM*. Vehicle was taken up to about 70 MPH on the highway and it drove real smoothe! Vehicle has 2 keys, one is still brand new from Mercedes. MECHANICAL: Brakes are very good however there is significant rust on the rear brake line. It would be recommended it be replaced soon. Tires are all MICHELINS, about %75 tread remaining. Power locks work. All power windows work except the right rear which is a power window switch (5 minute fix). SUNROOF WORKS! The rear shocks look newer. Front shocks are fine, not leaking. Ball joints, tie rods, suspension look fine. Glow Plug system works fine. No electrical issues. All headlights, tail lights, fog lights, map/courtesy lights working. Brand new headlight doors. Blower motor was *just* replaced with a BRAND NEW German OEM one. Heat blows hot. A/C was vacuumed and converted to R-134 just recently but the AC condenser (the original one) has a small leak. The AC compressor and 2 AUX blower fans work fine. Exhaust is good, not leaking anywhere. All Mercedes exhaust components. CRUISE CONTROL WORKS FINE Vehicle has a FULL TANK of B50 (%50 biodiesel blend) This vehicle was *VERY* well maintained throughout its life. Like EVERY used car, it is not perfect. Here are its defects: 1. ODOMETER ITSELF DOES NOT WORK (tachometer, oil pressure etc.., are OK). THERE IS A PLACE WE CALLED IN FLORIDA WHO WILL REBUILD IT FOR ABOUT $100 IF NEED BE. 2. Fuel return lines need to be replaced, they are leaking significantly. 3. It will need one left motor mount fairly soon. 4. The ABS light is on sometimes. The ABS modulator is fine, but it will need an ABS sensor. 5. Will need an AC Condenser, small leak. 6. I would recommend replacing the rear brake lines soon. I can have any work done to the vehicle if you wish by a reputable local shop before it is picked up. I would personally drive this car to California if the rear brake lines were replaced, change the oil and fuel filters, and since it is still summer, A/C condenser replaced, A/C charge. Of course, as Bob Barker would say "if the price is right!" THIS IS A PRIVATE SALE- NO SHADY CAR DEALERS INVOLVED.
