Selling Another Classic European Sports Car I have been a classic car enthusiast for 9 years buying mostly Porsches Mercedes and BMW’s because in my opinion, nothing compares to German engineering. I have also helped several international buyers locate, purchase, and export these beautiful cars back to their place of origin for private collection therefore I accept and welcome bidders from around the world. Some vehicles I sell are my personal cars, others are ones that I am listing on behalf of others, but I always drive the cars and describe them to the best of my ability. Prior to bidding on any of my vehicles, please make sure to ask any questions as your bid is a binding contract stating that you accept the car in AS IS condition. All sales are final- I simply will not put up with anyone who is just shopping or wasting time. I know that most ebayers and classic car collectors are stand-up people but there are a few out there who simply should not be buying cars online. I do my best to describe the cars as they are in my opinion but in order to make sure that the cars are up to your standards it is your responsibility to inspect the car in person or have your assigned agent inspect the car, otherwise you are buying the car based on my opinion only- I am not a certified car inspector or mechanic- just an enthusiast that has been around a lot of classic cars. That disclaimer being stated, here is the description I offer for this particular car: This car appears to be a 2 or 3 owner California car with the previous owner having had the car since 1999 when it only had 38,660 miles on it so he has put around 70K miles on it over the past 11 years. This car comes with everything you see in the pictures plus I can forward extensive records from the previous owner. It runs strong, AC blows cold, and it looks great. I recently drove it over 100 miles without any issues and I am confident this will make the drive across the country if you choose to fly out here and drive it home. CLEAN CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE IN HAND FOR THE NEW OWNER. My overall assessment is that this car is in very good condition and is a solid driver with good mechanics and cosmetics. These cars are the BEST sports cars you can buy in the $20K range as they really are true sports cars that are a blast to drive at the affordability of a Honda while still looking like the $60k sports cars they were when new. That being said this car will sell to the highest bidder- I believe that value is determined by what people are willing to pay for a car which is why I list cars at NO RESERVE. As mentioned this car is in good overall condition - below is my very detailed an honest description of this car. Most people would just say “excellent condition” and not give all the details but I try to include everything, good and bad. Please look carefully at the pictures as I try to portray the car in various lighting settings as well. What you see is what you get with this classic 964 series Porsche Carerra: Cosmetically this car is nice to look at and I have gotten several comments about it driving it around town. The body looks straight and solid with no rust or apparent major collision damage. The paint is glossy and shines up well. The tires have a good bit of tread remaining. The front seats are in great shape and the carpets are in average shape- the one thing I noticed is that the under matting has been removed, probably to set up the custom sound system and they did not put it back so under the carpets you have bare metal instead of the foam rubber padding. The dash has no cracks, and there are no major interior flaws. This is a dry, straight car - just a nice Carerra 2 that is begging to be driven. Mechanically the car is solid. She starts right up and runs clean and strong and does not smoke. The car drives straight and strong without vibrations or pulling one way or another. When braking sharply the car does vibrate so I would say brakes, and maybe rotors are due. I have had the car in the same spot and have yet to see any active oil drips other than one small decompression drip after a good long drive. The previous owner said he did have most of the major oil line issues with these cars taken care of. I always plan on them leaking and have oil proofed my garage with drip pads as it seems to be something that just comes with the territory with a 20 year old car but this one has not left anything major yet. Anyone who claims to have a Porsche that does not leak oil is probably not telling the whole story but this one has had great work done and is very dry. When I got this car it had been sitting for some time and there was a small amount of oil that had had leaked and dried onto the exhaust (typical of these cars) and it took a while for all of that to burn off but this car has current California tags and should pass safety/emissions. The AC blows nice and cold here in the hot desert climate and makes for a comfortable ride. The transmission does not lurch and shifts nicely between gears in all modes. In summary, this is a hard to find low mileage Carerra 2 in good mechanical and cosmetic condition. I really like the color combo and attention this car gets from anyone who sees it. It would make a great driver that still has a lot of life left in it. Feel free to ask questions prior to bidding. I can provide a reference for arranging very affordable transportation for this car to any state or port in the USA. TERMS: A NON REFUNDABLE OF $700 DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION’S END FULL PAYMENT OR PROOF OF WIRE TRANSFER IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION’S END SALE IS FINAL ONCE ANY CAR IS PICKED UP OR ACCEPTED BY BUYER OR BUYER’S AGENT
