I bought this cabby in december of 2010. Worked on it on and off throughout the winter and spring and have had it on the road for about a two months now. Its got some fresh paint, electric blue, which was kind of a spur of the moment choice. New interior except dash, white vinyl seats, new black carpet with black door panels. New haartz white vinyl top, the headliner is in perfect shape, no rips, no stains. The body had no rust at all when I bought it. Did some minor body work, minimal bondo. Very small imperfections in the body and paint. Some seals on the car are replaced where needed. There are no leaks in the roof at all. BBS rs's on the car with some raceland coilovers which aren't too bad considering how cheap they are. Pleasantly surprised. I sand blasted and painted the wheels with white enamel, not too shabby...no chips yet. New breaks and break lines. The motor had 160,xxx miles when purchased and has stopped at 161,xxx. Motor starts right up. The tranny is in OK shape. Third gear grinds a tiny bit, I guess its a synchro going bad? not sure. New exhaust all the way from manifold, just a stock replacement. I'm moving to harlem and don't think its a good idea to have a rag top in there. it would be unfortunate if it got beat up. I've been driving this car for the majority of the summer when its nice out. Driven it on 100 + mile trips so I'd say its a worthwhile purchase. Its been a long draw out process but its done and I love it but its got to go. send me a message if you want specific pictures I have put up some photos of what I consider imperfections and some new pictures.
