This car was originally sold in Germany, and later privately imported to the United States. European models have several "better" features than what comes equipped on North-American models. It still rides at the stock suspension height, and is free of any major modifications. This is a European Domestic Model car. These are different from the standard North American models in several ways: Smaller European Bumpers. These are much more attractive than the bulky North American bumpers. Composite headlamps with electronic leveling. These are much more attractive than the sealed beam units offered in the USA. They can also be adjusted electronically via a switch on the dashboard. German labeling on many dash buttons and switches. -- Very novel! The interior of this car is spectacular. The heated Leather seats are in very good shape, as is the dash and the carpets. Even the driver's seat is really nice. The car has automatic climate control which works properly. The Air Conditioning functions and is very cold. It has not been converted, and is still R12. The original radio has been replaced with a nice Alpine CD unit. The original unit would not have functioned in the US as Europe radio stations broadcast on different frequencies. The automatic seatbelt retractors operate exactly as they should. All of the power options work properly. The outside of this 500SEC is beautiful and is finished in Black. I can't describe how nice this car is. It is stunning. The car literally looks new on the outside. The paint is absolutely wonderful. It's clear that this car has been garaged and very well cared for. This was somebody's baby. I have been driving this car around, and it gets so much attention. I have been getting thumbs ups from everyone! Its presence is wonderful. The car is fitted with a power sliding sunroof which operates perfectly. The tires are nearly new and are matching Michelins. The brakes are in very good shape with solid stops and no pulsation. The car is very smooth on the highway with no shakes or vibrations. The transmission shifts properly. There are absolutely no warning lights illuminated. There is a high-quality indoor car cover that is included with the car to keep it dust-free when in storage. There is a period car phone antenna which is mounted to the trunk. This car has clearly never been operated in the winter. The undercarriage is ENTIRELY rust free. It's spectacular. The rear window is delaminating in the lower corners. Very common on this model. Because this is a European Model, Ebay's system will not recognize the vin. The car's vin number is: WDB1260441A112962. We have a valid Pennsylvania title, and this car can be titled in any state. Additionally, this car qualifies for Antique registration in many states which, in many cases, exempts it from inspection, and allows for very affordable insurance.
