Vehicle Detail
This is a rare 1945 Ford Firetruck Pumper. If I remember correctly, it was built in Hamburg, PA by Hahn. It has a Bartrum pump on it. The truck was retired in 1979 or 1980 from Denver, PA. After that is was owned by one of the two firemen that drove it. It has about 11,600 original miles and was always stored indoors. The wood in the floors, body and ladders is still nice and solid. The engine runs great. The gas tank has dirt in it and it is running off a gas can right now. The gas can does not go with the truck. In the past couple of months the wheel cylinders were rebuilt and all brake hoses were replaced. I found no rust through on this truck. This truck still has all the extras and has not been stripped. Items such as a box of brass fittings, original pry bars, original axe, hoses as pictured, original ladders, a set of tire chains and even has the original radio with the civil defense sticker on it. Also a bucket of special tools, fire extinguishers, a firemans jacket, boots, helmets and gloves. The radio was removed from the truck because it took up too much room in the cab. This truck has gone only about 1,000 miles in the last 30 years which was mostly in parades. The paint is showing its age. If you love old firetrucks, this is for you.
