Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible. This is a PHS (Pontiac Historical Society) documented 4-Speed GTO. This car was a $60,000+ nut and bolt frame off restoration. This car was disassembled to the last bolt. The good It has a 1966 389 CI WT block, which is correct to the car, that was rebuilt in 2009. It has 4,000 miles on it. There is nothing that hasn’t been redone. I have receipts for $5,000 in the engine rebuild, and $3,000 in receipts for the transmission and clutch work. Everything was detailed and looks amazing under the hood. The stickers are correct for this car. It has the radiator cover shield. The only thing it needs in the engine compartment is the rubber shock covers. The transmission has been completely rebuilt. It has brand new dual exhaust as can be seen in the photos. The car was also fitted with brand new power front disc brakes, and new drum brakes in the rear. It has power steering. The gas tank and fuel lines along with the brake lines have been replaced. The interior of the car is done in black. It has brand new seat covers, front and rear door panels, carpet, shifter, wood grain on the dash, and the ignition. The dash was pulled out and painted and the dash pad was redone also. It has a brand new convertible top and the winning bidder will get the warranty slip. The top was blasted and painted and the front header bow was replaced. The top has brand new pads, and cables. It also had a new valley cover installed, so you could not see the pump and hoses. Then it was finished off with a brand new convertible top boot. The body of the car is done in black and was wet sanded and buffed to a brilliant shine. The paint looks like it is 10ft deep and gives a reflection like it was a black mirror. It was finished off with the correct red pinstripe down the car. The paint looks amazing. As nice as the pictures look on your computer, there is no substitute to an in-person view of this car. It is also loaded with a lot of very nice chrome. It has brand new bumpers, and much of the chrome is brand new also. Every emblem is brand new. The grills were taken out and redone. It has new headlights and new blinker lights that make the front end of the car look amazing. It has a new antenna and new weather-strip all around the car. The trunk of the car looks great, and if you notice in the pictures, I have some extra parts that come with the car. It has an original jack (all but hook). It has new door handles, inside and out. There is no rust on this car. I see my share of GTO convertibles, but few can even come close to this car. This is a triple black 4-speed convertible. What more can a person ask for. This is a car that will be the highlight of many shows. You will win your local shows if not state and possibly national. You will not be disappointed. This car can be looked at before auction ends. I actually would prefer that you come see it before you bid. I have been extremely accurate and precise with my description. Please ask me any question you have on this car. The bad Three small paint imperfections on front left fender, next to GTO emblem 093 casting numbers on cylinder heads (cylinder heads not matching) Brand new Munsey 4 speed (numbers not matching) Car came with a console originally, console missing We can’t seem to get boot for top to fit right, looks good on one side but a little puffy on the other Nada Guides Value Average retail $46k High retail $76k Terms Full payment within three days required People with no feedback must contact us first before bidding
