Up fo sale is my 1996 Mercedes Benz S320. I bought the from an auction in May of this year and then discovered it had a transmission issue. The reverse gear isn't working. The car barely moves when you engage reverse. I was told the cluthes and bands need replacing for approx. $1300. I have decided to sell the car instead of fixing it. The car drives fine in the forward gears. The car runs great. The engine is very smooth and has good power. It doesn't smoke or leak any fluids. This is outstanding considering the miles on the car. It has all the typical S-class features of its time: double paned pw,pdl,tilt and telescoping wheel,dual climate control,dual pwr seats,front and rear vanity mirrors,sunroof,built in cell phone(obselete of course) 6 disc cd changer (magazine stuck) and much more !! The body of the car is good condition. There are some minor scratches and dings,as expected of a car 15 yrs old.The paint is still glossy and there isn't any peeling clearcoat. The front valance is split in the middle and left front head lamp has a couple of rock chips. The tires seem to be in good condition with about 90% tread left. The windshield has two cracks in it. The interior is in good condition. The front seats are showing some wear,as expected. There is a tear on each seat,as shown in the pics, in the same area(?) The headliner on sunroof shade is sagging. I cut part of it off so the sunroof would completely open. The car is making a roaring sound in the rear. After checking it out, I discovered the boot on RR axle is torn. I have not fixed this yet. I have described the condition of the car as honestly and completely as possible. Anything I missed is unintentional. Please do not bid if you don't intend to purchase. I will post negative feedback.
