Vehicle Detail

Selling Another Classic European Sports Car I have been a classic car enthusiast for 9 years buying mostly Porsches Mercedes and BMW’s because in my opinion, nothing compares to German engineering. I have also helped several international buyers locate, purchase, and export these beautiful cars back to their place of origin for private collection therefore I accept and welcome bidders from around the world. Some vehicles I sell are my personal cars, others are ones that I am listing on behalf of others, but I always drive the cars and describe them to the best of my ability. Prior to bidding on any of my vehicles, please make sure to ask any questions as your bid is a binding contract stating that you accept the car in AS IS condition. All sales are final- I simply will not put up with anyone who is just shopping or wasting time. I know that most ebayers and classic car collectors are stand-up people but there are a few out there who simply should not be buying cars online. I do my best to describe the cars as they are in my opinion but in order to make sure that the cars are up to your standards it is your responsibility to inspect the car in person or have your assigned agent inspect the car, otherwise you are buying the car based on my opinion only- I am not a certified car inspector or mechanic- just an enthusiast that has been around a lot of classic cars. That disclaimer being stated, here is the description I offer for this particular car: NOTE: Actual VIN WP0ZZZ93ZFS000443 EBAY's system does not recognize euro spec VINs on older Porsches so there will not be a history report, however I have one through Experian that shows no issues with the car- CLEAN CLEAR TITLE IN HAND READY FOR TRANSFER This car appears to be a 3 or 4 owner car and per Experian Check and shows no accident history or issues (I can email you the report if you like) and as far as I can see the miles are original and it has the original motor (motor #67F00474 which is correct for a 1985 Turbo) with a 4 speed manual original transmission. It was a grey market turbo imported by Hugh Gardner and It was obvioulsy well maintained throughout its life. The previous owner passed away recently and I acquired the car from his wife. He had a stack of maintenance records which we are not able to locate at this time, but I do have contact information for the winning bidder of the person he bought the car from who can also provide history on the car. This car has had some professional modifications done to the mechanics, taking this to the next level of performance while maintaining its classic beauty and bloodline. The motor was taken out, rebuilt/resealed and a custom KOKELN Racing turbocharger was fitted to the car with an HKS electronic valve controller and an air intake system as well as a custom SS exhaust to give it amazing sound and performance. Thanks to this costly but worthwhile investment, this car breathes well and the turbo spools with a ton of power that will blow away a stock 930 turbo. This car comes with spare wheel, tool kit, tire jack, owners manual and everything you see in the pictures. It runs great, handles well, drives straight, is INCREDIBLY FAST and looks amazing. I just drove it over 100 miles without any issues. My overall assessment is that this car is in very good condition and is a solid driver with excellent mechanics and cosmetics. It runs and drives very well and the motor runs strong without smoking. This car has a NADA classic car value of between $29,000and $44,000http://nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1985/Porsche/930-Turbo-Carrera/2-Door-Coupe-+/Values-- and I think it is fair to assume that taking into consideration the modifications and how nice this car looks someone would list this car for sale at around $44,000 on Auto Trader or some other retail listing service. That being said this car will sell to the highest bidder- I believe that value is determined by what people are willing to pay for a car which is why I list cars at NO RESERVE. As mentioned this car is in great condition across the board- below is my very detailed an honest description of this car. Most people would just say “excellent condition” and not give all the details but I try to include everything, good and bad. Please look carefully at the pictures as I try to portray the car in various lighting settings as well. What you see is what you get with this beauty: Cosmetically this car is beautiful to look at inside and out and literally has everyone who sees it asking questions about it. The body looks straight and solid with no rust or collision damage—only some chips in the the front spoiler from it being so close to the ground and two blemishes on the hood that you have to be right on top of to notice. It also has a couple of small door dings that you have to get in the right light to see but nothing that a good paintless dent removal technician couldn’t take care of. I have someone that will take out all the dings and touch up the paint and the rock chips for $500. It has been repainted what looks like one time and all the jambs and motor compartment seem to match the paint color. The tires have a good bit of tread remaining and the wheels do not have any rash. The seats are in great shape and the carpets are clean as they were replaced and I do have a box with the original mats/carpets. The dash is in tact without cracks and has been covered and protected from the sun, and there are no major interior flaws. All the gauges work as they should and the power options do as well. The custom steering wheel is not aligned quite right and is a little loose- not a big deal but if I'm being picky I would take it in and have it adjusted properly. The windshield has a couple stone chips but no cracks. It was a non smoker so there are no foul smells . There is no rust- all the pans are solid including the battery housing and front clip. This is a dry, straight - just a really nice Turbo that is begging to be driven. Mechanically the car is solid. This beauty starts right up and runs clean and strong and does not smoke. The brakes are solid and the suspension feels good. The car drives straight without vibrations or pulling one way or another. I have had the car in the same spot and have yet to see any oil drips other than one small decompression drip after a good long drive. I always plan on them leaking and have oil proofed my garage with drip pads as it seems to be something that just comes with the territory with a 25 year old car but this one has not left anything yet. Anyone who claims to have a Porsche that does not leak oil is probably not telling the whole story but this one has had great work done and is very dry. The AC blows but needs a freon charge and the transmission shifts well without any grinding and the turbo kicks in and gives this car great top end power. In summary, this is a hard to find low mileage Turbo with professional modifications to increase its performance. It is in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. I really like the color combo and attention this car gets from anyone who sees it. It would make a great collector car that still has a lot of life left in it. Feel free to ask questions prior to bidding. I can provide a reference for arranging very affordable transportation for this car to any state or port in the USA.
