1974 Triumph spitfire 1500 You are bidding on a 1974 Triumph Spitfire 1500 with less than 47000 original miles. I had this car up for auction last month and ended it early after I decided it was too much fun to get rid of. Unfortunately as I am moving and will have a 60mile daily commute I need something more practical and I don’t want to put 250miles+ a week on to a classic. This car has had a lot done to it. New leaf springs, new brake master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new handbrake hardware, interior is new, soft top is new, seats have been re-done upholstery and padding to name just a few. Included in the sale will be all the spare/new parts you can see in the pictures plus front brake pads. It was my intention to keep it and have it fully restored within 2years, it is well on the way to being restored as is and is drivable as well as starting first time. As you can see from the picture I patched the rear right fender with the dreaded fiberglass and bondo......at the time I did it as a quick fix solution to stop the rust getting any worse while I saved up to buy and install a new fender (which is only around $200) it needs to be sanded one more time and will be ready for paint. I will happily sand it for you before pick up, I have the paint just nowhere to spray so I am unable to do that part. I have tried to show the worst of the car in the pictures (front bumper, rear fender) so as not to miss lead you. I am moving on the 1st of Sept so the quicker I can sell this car and get a more practical one the better hence the low buy it now price.....I am also open to offers. The state of Georgia requires no title because of the vehicles age, it will come with a certified bill of sale and the VIN has been verified by the police (would more than happily do it again).
