Vehicle Detail
BMW R100 RS matching numbers, early production, 40 MM carbs and 40 MM exhaust. A driver, not a queen, ready to ride or an excellent restoration candidate for a super clean and correct bike. The bike shows wear, but it is fully functional and original. Paint is thin on tank. Check out the wire wheels, a feature of the early production bikes. Starts right up without coaxing, brakes, suspension excellent. Transmission shifts smoothly. Corbin seat, new Westco battery, BMW Krauser bags, original tool kit. The bike has a small dent in the lower left side of tank that you might be able to spot in the photos, there are scratches on the fairing but no cracks or evidence of being dropped or repaired. Clock works. If you need more information, please contact me. I can send specific pictures if you are interested, or talk by phone. Shipping arranged by the winner bidder. Down payment of $500 required within 24 hours. Balance within 7 days. Pick up on shipper or buyers timetable. All payments clear before bike is released. I have the title in hand. Please email with questions. Reasonable offers considered. On Aug-16-11 at 04:21:46 PDT, seller added the following information:A couple of questions have come in about the mileage. Just to be perfectly clear, I don't have records for the bike more than the two years I've owned it, so I cannot verify the actual mileage. That said, it is mechanically excellent and remains a matching numbers, 40mm bike.On Aug-21-11 at 04:19:31 PDT, seller added the following information:A question came in about the 40mm carbs + exhaust. The carbs are marked 94/40/106, confirming they are 40mm. The exhaust clamps are stamped 42, indicating 40mm, but I can't confirm the exhaust. Keep asking questions and I'll post the answers here. Thank you, JR
