Vehicle Detail
Beautiful K1200RS in rare Dolpin Blue. Clear title, privately owned, NO RESERVE. Very clean, with only minor cosmetic issues which are described below. New front and rear Metzler Roadtec Z6 tires plus oil/filter change at 34K miles. All service has been performed at BMW recommended intervals. Factory cases, heated grips, ABS, all stock. I purchased this bike sight unseen in 2000 from the original owner in CO with 1500 miles on it (he had carpal tunnel issues and opted for a cruiser instead), and drove it back to SoCal where it was ridden and garage kept for 4 years. In around 2002, it was knocked over in the middle of a domino of bikes at the Rock Store in Malibu, CA. Although the damage was entirely cosmetic and fairly minor (scratches only, no cracks), the responsible parties' insurance paid for brand new left and right side panels, a new center tank panel and windshield (cheaper to replace than fix, I guess.) I recovered the original parts, and the winning bidder can have these also at no extra cost (pickup only - no shipping). I then brought it with me when I moved to CO myself in 2004, where it continues to be garage kept. I've since dropped it once myself coming off of the center stand and there are a few right side panel marks as a result, which can only be seen from up close. The original matte silver exhaust shield was replaced with the polished version due to an early recall issue (the matte version is subject to corrosion). The new polished exhaust shield has a shallow 1" long dent at about half-way and on top, which is only visible with the cases off. All being very minor, I was unable to get any of these to show up in pictures. The only mechanical issue I've ever had is a cracked exhaust manifold at the header flange, which I had repaired (re-welded, along with reinforcing all of the other ports) - no problems since. I also added foam grips over the old ones which were starting to wear, and these can easily be removed. I've really enjoyed this bike, but I've purchased another motorcycle which better suits my needs. I has been a great sport touring machine for 10+ years and although I hate to let it go, I don't have room for two bikes in my garage anymore. No shipping - buyer must arrange for pick-up in the North Denver metro area. Or we can arrange to meet at Denver International Airport and you can ride off with it after the sale, which is how I purchased it originally. I'll accept payment in advance via PayPal, or cash at point of sale. Please contact me know if you have any questions or need more info. Thanks for looking.
