Vehicle Detail

NYSubway store This is a nice Mustang Fastback GT. The engine and transmission have less than 1,000 miles on the rebuild, and the body has about 54k miles. The body is solid with zero rust issues. It has nice torque thrust rims, good rubber, and it has a fully rebuilt front end and brakes. Being a GT, it has factory disc brakes. This car cranks easy, shifts great, and handles as it should.Additionally, he responded to a question about the car's condition with the following answer:Q. Hey Tell me about the sheet metal. Have you or anyone replaced any panels or repaired any rust. I am a serious buyer looking for a decent fastback. Thanks Jun-17-11 A: I replaced the floor pans. They were professionally installed. Prior to replacement, they were decent, but I do not like rust of any sort. Everything else was solid when I bought it. The car is really solid. I would classify the car as a solid #2 overall car. I have another old car and it is a #1 condition car. It is too nice to drive anywhere. The Mustang is great because it turns heads, looks sharper than the other local Mustangs, and it is not a trailer queen. If you need a trailer queen, be prepared to drop 30k plus. My reserve is much lower. It could be converted to a trailer queen very inexpensively. All of the major and most minor stuff has been done. To me, the expensive components on a Mustang: drive train, body, front end, has all been restored. All of the little tinker type, shade tree jobs are cheap and easy. Mustang parts are cheaper than any other car I have ever worked on. With that stated, I am not sure what parts you would replace, unless you just wanted to blow some money. For example: replace the original console with a new console, replace the existing seats with new seats, replace the existing headliner with new headliner, replace the Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner cover with stock or Cobra covers. All of my stuff looks good, but I guess those few items could be upgraded if you wanted it to look brand new/original. To me, it is not important. It is an authentic, period correct, hot-rod. The car is clean and everyone that sees it loves it. This car sounds better than my Dodge RT Big Block trailer queen. My reserve is less than what these other sellers are posting their similar cars for. This car is priced to move at a fair price. The preceding information is shared because I want to provide you with the same information I had when I purchased the car. I have not driven it beyond a short drive in town since it arrived, nor have I done more than an overall inspection of the vehicle. It has new floor pans as stated, a solid paint job, and there are no signs of rust issues in the body. It has solid front fenders and the motor cranks and starts first time as the previous own stated. All of the preceding stated, I do want to let potential bidders know of two items I've identified. First, there is a quarter size paint peel right below the gas cap. I believe this happened in transit when gas must have steadily dripped out of the gas filler nozzle during shipping. Second, there has been a repair made to the lower hinge support on the driver's side door. The door opens and closely flawlessly, but the repair isn't a thing of beauty. Do you see it when the door is closed, NO. But because many potential bidders can't see the car in person, I want you to know about these two items. Shipping is responsibility of the winning bidder. I recommended Reliable Carriers. They are a well known, extremely professional company that specializes in motor car transport. Shipping cross country will run approximately $1500.00.
