Vehicle Detail
1973 Mercury Montego GT 351 Cobra Jet. rebuilt enging with aprox 5,000 miles, new radiator, heater core, NOS door mirror, master cylinder, pads & shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, carpet, frt seat covers, ac converted to r134a, and new ac blower fan, C6 trans, sport dash, am/fm stereo, bucket seats & console, leather steering wheel,325 open rear, it needs exhaust, headliner, and a carburator. I am trying to find a replacement carb now. I may not be able to get one before the auction ends. the paint is bubbling at the lt qtr to roof seam. It is not rust. Appears to be a lead contamination issue. It used to have a vinyl top. I have the mouldings that will go with the car. There is a small trans leak. I think it is just a loose fitting at the trans but I have not had a chance to check it. Too many cars. sadly I have to let this one go. Please do not bid if you have negative or zero feedbacks until we have had a chance to talk. Otherwise your bid will be rejected. I reserve the right to end this auction for any reason at any time. this car is also for sale locally. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Aug-14-11 at 09:01:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I am also going to throw in an extra rt fender, header panel, 2 headlamp grilles and all of the misc items I have for the car.On Aug-15-11 at 16:54:04 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is now running and idleing. There is still a popping in the exhaust. sounds like a misfire of some type. The ac charge is completed and is cooling. On Aug-16-11 at 15:42:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Good news ,there is no misfire. The noise was a hole that has just formed in the left muffler. They are the original mufflers way are way past their lifetime. The car is running fine but still could use a little carb tweaking and set the timing back just a touch.
