up for sale is my 1980 tans am.ive owned it since 1989. it has 98900 miles on car 454 chevy crate engine which i bought in from gm dealer which honestly has under 1000 miles on it. motor is still not broken in yet and has never been apart for anything.i paid 4500 back in 2000 of december..have reciept. rebuilt turbo 350 with 11 inch stall.. 2009 installed stock rear front ends tight and steers straight.no play in any parts. brakes have well over 3/4 life hooker headers with flowmasters and off road 2.5 inch exaust high torque gm minni starter msd ignition with hei aux fan 4 core radiator i had it painted at a new car dealer back in 2000 for 1500 dollars. it had very little body work.3 small dings. car is covered in the garage most its life. tires are very good shape with alot of tread stuff i needed and i feel i have to disclaim so theres no suprizes: ..carpet not to great ..windshield wipers are off the car in a box.this car hasent seen rain since the late 1980s so there off. ..it has a holley 600 which i just bought on ebay because the 750 went bad from sitting so long.so a REAL carb is needed. ..the car runs great but you can tell it needs alot more fuel from a bigger carb.. ..heater box under hood removed along with a/c ..front bumper deleted under the bumper cover.dead weight also. ..emmisions stuff removed,cats,egr. ..body has no rust except a very small spot at the very bottom of the pass side fender underneath ..speedometer reads 10mph higher due to the new trans.a new speedo gear is the fix.15 bucks.. history i bought this all original with low miles in the 80s.origanally a smokey bandit car i drove it stored it and wanted to make it faster.i bought the engine and trans than had a divorce.bought a street bike and lost all intrest.now 3 kids later,it just sits.has been sitting for many years.i drive it 5 miles every few months just to keep it lubracted. ...also would really like for local bidders to come see it.most of these cars are rusted out on the unibody and behind the rear bumper but not this one .ive included under carrage pictures.if you can or cant tell,id like to point out that there is not any dents.doors,fenders and quater panals are straight.NOT WAVY.... this engine is really ment for a super charger or nos.maybe a bigger cam? its really built strong.steel crank forged pistons,roller cam.it is a mark6 engine. 425hp 500ft pounds of torque.it has 8.75 to 1 compression.here is a link below to all specs.... http://www.gmhorsepower.com/454-HO.php any questions please feel free to ask.all emails answered.any more picture requests will be honored.all stated above it true. im not a b.s.er and please dont waste my time and your if you are one.thanks for looking.
