Vehicle Detail
Here is a super nice ALL ORIGINAL STOCK 1991 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 hatchback! This beauty has had only 24,000 miles since new, and has never been modified or restored! It is truly a "Survivor" car that you seldom see, especially in Mustangs that are regularly hot-rodded and beat-up by kids. This one has always been adult owned. Car is fully equipped with automatic transmission, power steering, brakes, locks, windows, trunk release, mirrors, lumbar seats, cruise control, and factory sunroof. All of these items still work. Also has 16 inch alloy wheel option. Seats, dash, carpet, door panels, etc are all original and look immaculate. A/C has been changed over to 134-A. Body is not dented or rusted, and is nice and straight without the door dings that you usually see on a used car. The dark teal paint is similar to that on the "7-Up" series convertibles, and has a great shine to it! Mechanically, this little Mustang is very strong! The 5.0 engine is smooth and powerful! Automatic transmission shifts well through the gears. Steering and suspension are nice and tight. Original exhaust is still in place, and has that nice factory rumbling tone. I don't see any smoke or leaks. Tires look good, and still have lots of tread. I just drove the car 200 miles a few days ago, and would not be afraid to go anywhere with it! Car really runs, drives, and handles like I would expect for 24,000 miles. Additionally, it is very good on gas. I have been getting about 19-20 MPG locally, and 22-23 MPG highway on regular 87 octane gas. Please call me at 518-835-3710 (leave message if not in) with any questions. Most Mustangs and other sports cars of this age have been wrecked, modified, driven a lot of miles, beat up on, or all of the above. It is really hard to find a clean original "Survivor" like this. You could not restore one for the price, and remember, they are only new and original ONCE! Don't miss this great opportunity! Sells at NO RESERVE! About Me: I collect and fool with nice interesting old special interest cars from the late 1950s to early 1990s. I especially favor original un-restored "Survivor" cars that have not been modified. I keep a "rotating collection" of 5-6 such vehices. Occasionally I will sell one to make room for a new acquistion. This is one of those cars. Car is located at my summer residence in Upstate New York, about midway between Albany and Utica. Please feel free to call me at 518-835-3710 with any questions. I am in and out a lot, so leave message if not home. Thanks for looking. Now for the rules: 1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! 2. A NON-REFUNDABLE $1500 partial payment is due within 48 hours of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer or cashiers check. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. 3. Balance is due within 7 days of auction's close. This can be by bank wire transfer, cashiers check or cash in person. If you are paying balance upon pickup of car, it must be cash in person. 4. Car and title will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. No exceptions! 5. Car is sold strictly as-is at my premisies with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. 6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it still YOUR responsibility. 7. If you can not pick up car right away, that is ok. It can be kept here for a reasonable time, but must still be paid for within the 7 days of auction's close. You should arrange for insurance as soon as you win the car as I cannot be responsible for acts of God or other situations beyond my control once auction concludes. 8. An administrative fee of $125.00 will be charged in addition to the bid price. This goes toward my advertising expenses, paperwork, temp tag, etc. It does not cover all of these expenses, but goes toward defraying some of them. 9. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 518-835-3710 (leave message if not in) with any further questions about this. I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 518-835-3710 (leave message if not in) with any questions. On Aug-14-11 at 09:20:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of questions and interest in this car, both on this site and locally. Thank you all very much. I would definitely recommend that if you have any questions, or are bidding on this nice Mustang that you CALL ME at 518-835-3710. Again, leave message if not in. I strongly feel that it is better to talk in person over the phone about questions than to just pass impersonal e-mails back and forth. Thanks again! Someone is going to get a nice car!
