Up for your consideration is my ADULT son's Jet Black 2001 Corvette Z06. He is professionally employed and asked me to list this for him. It is highly modified, with a custom built engine, putting a true 550 horsepower to the rear wheels. The vehicle has 48,798 original miles on it and the high performance engine has 6,900 total miles on it. The new engine was put in as a result of a faulty timing chain, which came apart and trashed the original engine. When this happened he decided to make it a project car and see what he could do with it to make it a true speed machine. The car was torn down and professionally rebuilt by Total Mayhem Speed and Performance Shop, located in Burton, MI three years ago. He designed this car in partnership with the TM Team with an “old school” mentality, no forced induction, all engine power, and it was specifically designed to be a Nitrous car. All the internals on the engine are forged and the car is tuned to run safely. It is currently running the 90 hp nitrous jets in the car; it can go up to 180 hp jets, although we have never done this, we have the jets to do it. In order to run anything higher than a 90 hp nitrous tune on the vehicle, it would need a bigger fuel pump, so we have never run more. We are selling the car because it was a fun toy, but it is time to move on from it. He spared no expense building this car into what it is.
