1971 Volkswagen bay window bus / van / Westfalia. If you want a turn key near show room condition van this is it. Everything is rebuilt and new to the highest standards using the best OEM VW parts currently available. Most of the parts used are German / Bosch and some are Brazilian. New 1915 engine with less than 5000 miles on it. Just broken in with fresh tune-up and valve adjustment. Transmission just rebuilt with a 3 year warranty from Jeff at Trans-axle Engineering. He builds the best strongest tranny's in Southern California. Clutch is a Sach’s and is new, Gene Berg shifter, New starter, new alternator, Bosch Blue coil, 009 distributor with a Petronix electronic ignition. New Optima Gel filled Battery with warranty. New Blaupunkt CD /MP3 player with Ipod adapter, parcel trays under dash.Steering box just rebuilt, ball joints and tie-rod ends are new. CV joints and boots are new. New brakes and brake lines all the way around. New tires, all electrical is in perfect working condition. H4 European head lights, VDO Tach and oil pressure and oil temperature gauges. KYB shocks on all 4. The body was stripped of all windows and rubber, All door handles, and body molding taken off prior to being stripped down to the bare metal. All rust cut out and welded back wit OEM tin. The best epoxy primer used Before being painted With 3 coats of Nason single stage mango paint. The top was painted white over the Mango. Body is perfectly straight and the paint job is beautiful near flawless. Bumpers perfectly straight and powder coated as are all 5 rims (spare). All new window glass used except for both front doors and rear window. All window rubbers are new as are all door foam and seals. The trim and window scrapers and felts in the 2 front doors are brand new. All interior panels are black ABS as is the headliner. I built this beautiful Van for myself over the past 3 years with no expense spared in the build. I recently bought a new Mercedes Sprinter Hi-top that will hold more gear so myCherry bus has got to go (Plus I have a 1959 Vw Bus in the works). Bus is sold as is with no implied warranty. I will not co-op shipping but I do have a shipper that will ship most anywhere in the country between $850 to $1350 anywhere in the U.S. much less if within California, Arizona or Nevada. Please ask all questions. No trades please so don’t even ask. You won’t be disappointed in any way with the pristine condition of this van. The only thing not new is the upholstery but it is still in good shape. I thought about redoing it but who ever buys it needs at least 1 project - That is all it needs to being perfect.
