Up for auction is our 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4. We are the original purchasers of this Jeep and it is in excellent condition. It was purchased new at Kerry Jeep Dodge in Milford Ohio in 2001 and has been meticulously maintained since new. This Jeep has been garaged since the day it was new and has only been driven an average of 12,000 miles a year. The paint on this Jeep is original and still looks fantastic. There are a few nicks , scuffs and dings, as would be expected with a 10 year old car but I assure you this Jeep is one of the nicest ones you will find. This Jeep has NEVER been been beat on or used off road. It has been in four wheel drive numerous times during snowy weather however it has not been abused. this Jeep has always been adult owned and driven. It does not smoke and it does not burn any oil between oil changes. I have religiously changed the oil every 4,000 miles since we purchased it in 2001. The transmission and 4x4 transfer case operate perfectly. I have the original window sticker, owners manual, build sheet, and every other piece of literature that came with the vehicle new. I also have both Keyless Entry key fobs that work perfectly. My wife drove this car until it had 111,000 miles on it. She is a school teacher and works about 5 miles from our home. During the summer months when she was out of school the Jeep sat in the garage, out of the sun which is why it still looks so nice. The only warranty work ever required on this Jeep was replacing the rear end bearings twice while under warranty. When the Cherokee had 111,000 we bought my wife a new car and the Cherokee was relegated to the garage as a spare vehicle. At 116,000 miles the following items were replaced/renewed on the Jeep: Radiator replaced with a new one, engine flushed, new thermostat and antifreeze. complete valve job and new head gasket (it had developed a very minor leak) new belts and hoses, new spark plugs and a tune up, two new rotors and brake pads up front, wheel bearings packed two new wheel cylinders and new brake shoes on the rear new fluid in rear ends. This Jeep retains the original 3.55 gear ratios transfer case fluid change transmission flush and filter change, new fluid. Both headlights replaced with NEW GE Halogen headlights. (it still had the original ones and the reflectors were starting to flake) At 118,000 miles the Jeep was due for shocks and tires and I decided to upgrade the suspension. At this time I had the following items professionaly installed: Rubicon Express 4.5" lift that included; complete new rear leaf pack, new front coil springs, new upper and lower greasable control arms, 4 new shocks, new steering stabilizer, brake line extensions, 1" transfer case drop. There are ZERO driveline issues with this Jeep. At this time I also purchased the 4 new wheels and tires currently on the Jeep. These tires and wheels have approximately 3000 miles on them since new. At 121,000 miles the A/C developed a slow leak and I had the following work performed: New A/C compressor New Accumulator New Evavorator New heater core (changed when evaporator was changed out) All new o-rings installed System vacumed and refilled. The A/C is absolutely ICE cold now. Also included with the Jeep is the following: original Jeep 15"x7.0 aluminum "Ecco" wheels and goodyear tires. XM radio system that is currently installed. (you will need to activate receiver in your name.) original window sticker , build sheet and owners manual with supplements etc. Yakima cross bars, canoe gunwale brackets, and locks with keys. (original Jeep rack is also still on roof.) There are several minor issues I want you to be aware of. The factory radio volume knob seems to have a short in it . Sometimes when you try to turn the volume up it doesn't work properly. It does not do this all the time, however it may need to be replaced at some time in the future. 3 years ago there was some minor surface rust that developed in the left rear door jam. It was treated with Locktite Extend and has not developed any further. It was/is minor surface rust, and not an issue. There are NO other rust issues anywhere on this vehicle. The fog light on the passenger side does not work and needs to be replaced. The lense is cracked and the light fixture has water corrosion damage. It is easily replaced I just have not ordered a new light yet. This Jeep is reliable enough that I would not hesitate to drive it to California tomorrow. Please understand that I have tried to be as accurate about everything considering this Jeep but it is a used vehicle and as such is being sold with no warranty what so ever. I am relectant to sell it but I have a medical condition that precludes me from being able to enjoy it. I will regret selling it I am sure but this Jeep needs a new owner. I will be emailing everyone regarding the additional pictures this evening. I also want to state the size of the tires and wheels that are currently on the Jeep are 32 x 11.50 R15. These tires are the BF Goodrich KM2 tires. The spare has never been out of the vehicle and is brand new. The total height of this Jeep from floor to top of Yakima rack is 80" and it fits under a standard residential garage door with room to spare. There are no fluid leaks from the transmission, transfer case, engine etc.
