I have only seen one other top like this one but never the matching pair! Worth a lot by themselves but is INCLUDED!) *Clear title! Up for sale is my ALL ORIGINAL 1 OWNER 1977 Jeep CJ5 GOLDEN EAGLE LIMITED EDITION WITH ONLY 80K ORIGINAL MILES! The original owner of the Jeep bought it new about a mile away from his house and it was only used as a cruiser around town. The man parked it in his yard and left it there for years. He passed away and his wife knew it was time for it to go. So now I have it. As you probably know, the Golden Eagle was the "Cadillac" of all CJ'S. They are becoming extremely rare and hard to find but nearly impossible to find in 100% original condition as this one is. The Jeep is all original down to the ash tray. It still wears all of its original paint and decals! The wheels are the original Golden Eagle wheels with the original black stripe around the rim. All 4 tires have decent tread and hold air. The Jeep has all of the original gauges still. The clock does not work and the tachometer does not work (possibly just unhooked). The speedometer works and the odometer works (miles are accurate and documented). Both the temp and gas gauge work. The voltage meter works when it wants. The oil pressure gauge does work and shows to have great oil pressure. The only thing the Jeep does not have is the radio. The original owner ordered it with the radio delete option but an original radio would slide right in (dash is uncut). The seats are the original Levi's edition seats and have 4 out of 8 Levi buttons. There is no rear seat. The tub is rusty. The floors are rusted and a few places on the body are rusted too (see pictures). The area where the rear seat would have been also has rust. BUT the frame is 99% solid with only 2 very small quarter size rust spots on the rear (see pictures). Now onto the motor. The Jeep has the original 304 V8 and this motor is the STRONGEST running 304 I have ever driven and I have owned a lot of Jeeps! It starts right up every time on the very first try and purrs like a kitten! The 3 speed transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. It sounds funny to say that a CJ5 is fast but this Jeep is fast! The motor does not leak a drop of anything or smoke! It runs super cool! Proof of a low mileage Jeep! The clutch needs the linkage hooked back up. The Jeep can still be driven if you know how to shift gears without using the clutch (I drive it around the neighborhood everyday this way). The Jeep only needs the rust fixed (probably be easiest to replace the tub) and the clutch hooked back up. Don't miss out on the chance to own an all original 80k mile 1 owner Golden Eagle!
