Vehicle Detail
I am re-listing this car due to non-payment from previous winner. The winner did not contact me nor ever look at the car after winning. Please read the entire description below before calling or emailing. Please do not bid on the car if you do not have at least 5 positive feedback. You are bidding on a 1966 Chevelle Malibu 2 door hardtop with factory AC and an original 327. It has a powerglide automatic transmission and power steering. The car was originally blue outside and inside (See picture of trim tag). I had a bodyshop put a new quarter panel on the driver's side, and yes the quarter is on straight becuase the owner of the bodyshop is a good friend of mine. The car had been hit in the quarter panel in 1985 and the owner put the car in the garage and never fixed it. I put a new master cylinder on the car but the brakes will need some work to be road worthy. I also put a new partial trunk pan, body mounts under new trunk pan, new gas tank and gas tank braces. The floor pans look good with the exception of the passenger side front, but just where your feet would be (See picture). The inside of the door is bent slightly from being hit but I feel like it could be easily fixed (See picture). The windows are good and roll up and down fine. As far as the body, it has some surface rust on top of the hood and fenders. The hood in my opinion is not worth fixing because it has some rust in the front and because it is just a standard hood. The quarter panel on the passenger side was replaced some years back and will need some work on the top. The car has some rust on the back window and will need to be repaired. I did sand the top of the car and put in primer because I was going to set it aside for a while but now I have no room in my shop and I also wanted to preserve the car. The rest of the body is in pretty good shape considering the age of the car. All stainless trim around the windows is there. The car has factory AC, power steering, original carb, valve covers, etc. You would have a hard time finding a project in this kind of shape with all original equipment. The car runs and drives but will need brake work. I have a clean title. This car would make a good project for a father and son/daughter because all parts are there and the car runs.
