Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2006 Triumph Thruxton. It is blue in color and is in great shape. The bike currently has 5,180 miles (there may be a few more on it by the time the auction ends). The bike is in fantastic shape. It runs great and looks great. I am the second owner of the bike. I have owned many bikes and nothing turns heads like this one. It is usually one of the most popular bikes at bike nights, car shows, and on the road. These bikes are becoming more and more popular with the whole café racer craze. The good: The bike runs great and shifts smooth. The bike has virtually no hesitation when you roll the throttle. The bike is loaded with extras. Brakes pads are in decent shape and tires probably have a season left on them. The paint is in great shape. It is a blast to ride and turns heads everywhere it goes. You will be very happy with this bike. The bad: Occasionally a drop or two of oil will come out of the gear change cover. This is common with these bikes. It is a $5 gasket. I was going to do it but figured I would wait until my next oil change. (I just changed the oil 500 miles ago.) You can do it yourself (the Triumph boards have step by step details), or you can have the dealer do it. There is a good chance they would do it under warranty (see below). There are also a couple of very faint scratches on one of the engine covers. You should be able to see them in the pictures. That is it, everything else is in fantastic shape. The bike has approximately $1,500 worth of extras on it. Here are the modifications: Full D&D 2:1 exhaust system ($640) – Sounds amazing/unique and adds more power! Airbox removal kit with K&N Filters and filter dust covers ($295) Fender Eliminator Kit with aftermarket Turn Signals front and rear ($225) Nology Performance Wires ($72) Nology Pro Fire Coils ($76) New Front Sprocket ($20) Bar End Mirror ($25) The bike was professionally jetted after the performance upgrades ($150). I will also throw in a few extras: Haynes Service Manual New Front Brake Pads (the ones on there are still good but I have a replacement set waiting) Warranty through August of 2012 (Buyer will need to pay $50 to transfer this into his/her name. I will just provide the paperwork, the rest is up to you. The original owner paid $740 extra at the dealer when he bought the bike for a full 6 year warranty. It is through “Interstate Star Sport.”). The warranty should easily be able to be transferred again but I cannot guarantee that. Consider the warranty a “bonus.” It is up to the buyer to handle the transfer. You will not be disappointed in this bike. It is a blast to ride and a real head-turner! Here is a link to a quick video on YouTube: http://youtu.be/17YqynkaMrI (The video does not do the exhaust justice…) Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking. I will only ship if you make all of the arrangements. I will not crate the bike for you. $1,000 due within 2 days of auction close and balance due within a week. The bike is for sale locally so I have the right to stop this auction at any time.
