Vehicle Detail

I purchased the car from Mike Thomas, Rochester, Michigan in 1997. At the time that it was built in 1984, it had a regular street Hemi in it and was put on the show circuit. The car was painted in 1984 by Rich Rinke who now owns Carma vehicle prototyping. After 27 years the paint still looks very good!. Before the car was painted, they installed fiberglass front fenders, stretched the rear wheel well openings by 3 inches, tubbed the rear, moved the rear frame rails in and installed the narrowed Dana. The rear wheel well openings look stock and you can't tell unless you measure them. In the years since I have owned it, I continued to improve and modify the car to bring it to the point where it is now. This car is a very good show car and also a fast race car! It takes a lot of work to do both well. The magazines it has been featured in since I bought it are Hot Rod, Car Craft, Mopar Muscle, Mopar Action, Mopar Collectors Guide, High Performance Mopar, and has won many awards at the All Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle and also the Mopar Nationals. As far as performance goes, the best the car has run is 9.72 @ 140 mph. This was on pump gas in street legal trim. It has been in the Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags 3 times and placed in the top 10. It has also won the Dynomax dyno challenge at the Street Machine Nationals in 2007 and 2008. The interior is fully carpeted both front and back. It has a full complement of gauges and is very easy to drive. This winter I just installed a new Gear Vendor along with having Rick Allison from A&A Transmission freshen up the transmission so that I could drive it easier on the highway. 528 Hemi engine Mopar siamese block Mopar 4.50 bore 12.5 pistons Total Seal rings Mopar 4.15 crank ARP rod, main and head bolts Clevite bearings Milodon oil pump Milodon oil pan Milodon Gear Drive CVR electric water pump March pulleys BeCool polished aluminum radiator BeCool dual fan module 120 amp Denso alternator Dual Optima batteries CSR Platinum starter Mopar dual plug ported aluminum heads Stage V polished aluminum valve covers Dick Landy roller rockers Aluminum rocker stands Manley NexTex 647 lb. valve springs Manton push rods Comp Cams 10 degree titanium retainers Comp Cams roller camshaft-I.626 E.623 Duration @ .050 I268 E264 Comp Cams Endure-X solid roller lifters TTI ceramic coated headers DynoMax UltraFlo mufflers 2 Holley 770 cfm carburetors Original style magnesium cross ram intake manifold Hidden NOS Fogger Proshot system NOS progressive nitrous controller NOS nitrous bottle heater Barry Grant BG400 fuel pump system 16 gallon fuel cell with foam and sender Dual ignition system 2 MSD 7AL-3 ignition modules Rare Accel dual distributor MSD Crank ignition pickup MSD timing controller A&A Super Competition 727 Transmission-just freshened Frank Lupo Dynamic converter, 9 1/2 with nitrous anti balloon plate New GearVendor unit CSR carbon fiber super shield Turbo Action shifter SFI flexplate A&A transmission brake Dana rear end 4.56 gears with sure grip DTS rear end cover with preloaders Strange axles Superstock springs Mopar drag racing rear shocks B&M Supercooler transmission cooler AlerKtion front front suspension system by RMS rack and pinion Afco coil over shocks Wilwood front disc brakes Line lock Stainless steel brake lines Weld Wheels Alumistar 15x3.5 front wheels Weld Wheels Prostar 15x14 rear wheels Mickey Thompson Sportsman 26x7.5x15 front tires Mickey Thompson ET Street 31x16.5x15 rear tires Hunsaker Synkro cloth racing seats Simpson seat belts and harness 8 Autometer Ultralite gauges Rocky Mountain Dashes dash AutoWire electrical system Flaming River steering column with tilt Grant steering wheel with quick disconnect and trans brake button Fire extinguisher S&W 10 point NHRA certified cage I also have many spare parts that go with the car. It will be parked on the west side of the track on the judged show car side. I will also be taking the car to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, Michigan. I will be there August 19 and 20, 2011. Vehicle can be picked up anytime after August 23. About me: I am an ASE Certified Master Technician, Master Engine Machinist and Service Consultant.
