Vehicle Detail

******Please note: the car has had a lot of serious interest and a buyer has put a deposit on the car and is flying in on the weekend to view/purchase the vehicle. I'm leaving the ad up until the deal is finalized ********* Hi fellow eBayers, I’ve been a Supra owner and enthusiast for the last 18 years, and I've really enjoyed building up this car over the last few years, but I’ve decided to move on to a different platform, so the famous "Project Cherry Widebody" Supra is now available for sale. It is a solid reliable street car but is also a completely custom one-of-a-kind show-winning creation, winning "Best of Show" trophies for every major Supra show/event it has entered. The car is very well-known in the online Supra community, with a very large number of members calling the car "The best / most beautiful 3rd generation Supra ever". It is a 5-speed with removable targa roof. This your once-in-a-lifetime chance to own the most beautiful Mk3 Supra ever made. You only live once; why not treat yourself? The car has receipts for over $70,000 in parts and labor including the original purchase price of the vehicle. It has been appraised by a certified appraiser for $25,000 CDN before the turbo kit and brake performance upgrades were added, and the certificate of appraisal comes with the car as does the trophies it has won. At the asking price, the lucky buyer gets the ultimate in one-of-a-kind exotic looks and supercar performance for about the price of a Honda Civic. The car is located near Vancouver B.C. Canada, but can be shipped anywhere in North America at the buyer's expense. I've created a website with complete details including hi-definition YouTube videos, build history, and a massive photo gallery. Please be sure to visit it at www.ProjectCherryWidebody.com The performance of this vehicle is very significant with the engine, suspension, and brake upgrades. It will easily outperform 98% of other vehicles on the road, and the tasteful widebody style with the custom paint have many people thinking that it is some new model of exotic European supercar. I bought the car 5 years ago from the previous owner who had it for 10 years, and the body and interior makeovers completed in 2008 were my vision of what a "dream Supra" would be. Since I have had it, it has easily passed smog every time with clean exhaust and even compression numbers across the cylinders. On pump fuel the engine produces approximately 488 horsepower and 468 torque (436 rear-wheel horsepower, 418rear-wheel torque), on-par with a Lamborghini Diablo V12, and makes more power than two 5.0L V8 Mustangs. With a mix of race fuel and a little more boost, the car puts down over 500 horsepower at the rear wheels, as you can see in the dyno charts. (P.s. I can adjust the power output of the engine via the turbo wastegate to be as low as 250 horsepower for lesser experienced drivers.) In addition, the top-of-the-line performance tires, brake and suspension upgrades make the vehicle safer than stock as it is very agile and can stop on a dime. Specs are listed below. Performance 515 rwhp (rear wheel horsepower), 503 ft/lbs rear-wheel torque at 28psi turbo boost with 50/50% pump gas/C16 436 rwhp, 418 ft/lbs torque at 22psi on 94 octane pump gas with water/methanol injection (Can be run below 400 rwhp on pump fuel without the need for water/methanol injection) Mileage Engine – Low-mileage JDM engine, estimated 70,000 miles Chasis – 170,000 miles Turbo kit, Tein suspension, OEM wheelbearings, 13” brake kit, and all other new parts – approx. 5000 miles Trophies won Best in Show - This is a serious performance vehicle and I want to ensure that the buyer's safety is in good hands. The certificate of appraisal for $25,000 is included with purchase and is valid for private insurance purposes. Note: here in Canada you can insure the car for the $25,000 appraised value for only about $450 extra per year through Aviva at http://www.pellinginsurance.com. In the event of a claim, it’s only a $100 deductible and they will cover all repairs up to the $25,000 value through the original shops that did the work on the car, completely bypassing the usual ICBC insurance inconveniences. Imperfections Details that one might notice up close in person, but don’t show up on camera: Small paint bubble on driver’s side rear fender, and top of rear bumper Slight waviness in rear fenders after the fiberglass settled over time.(Only visible up close from some angles. Could be removed/reduced later with an extra coat of clearcoat and re-polish) Small marks from rocks in the chip-guard protection on the rear sideskirts. Could be removed with a re-application of the product by a body shop (I have left over product for this) Minor chips and scratches (have been touched up with paint at the body shop that did the paint) Small crack in the rear bumper from bumping into a PA speaker in my garage Scuff on rear tail light clearcoat (could be buffed out by body shop) Two tiny burn holes in seats caused by rubber chunks from a Mustang burnout at a local car show while the targa roof was out. (Could easily be replaced in future with the extra suede material I have and will supply you) Center arm rest showing some wear. (Could easily be replaced with the extra suede material I have and will supply, which can be re-sewn for about $50 by the original supplier that made it. Wheels were bought used from Japan and have some mild pitting in the chrome finish between the spokes. They also have some curb rash that was previously repaired and the outer rims have some imperfections/scratches in the anodized finish. This is only visible up close, and you can see how minor it is since almost none of these things are visible in the photos. Windshield washer reservoir was not re-installed after body work Steering wheel not perfectly centered after installing Momo wheel and hub. (can be centered easily at an alignment shop) Rear polyurethane subframe bushings increase drivetrain noise, but offer highest performance The aftermarket Innovate LC-1 wideband O2 monitor stopped working, but is only a monitor and does not affect the functioning of the car at all. A new one is only $145 if you want to have this gauge functioning again. Notes Engine is very reliable - same power dyno’d in 2009, 2010, and this summer 2011 Compression numbers very even across all cylinders Greddy catch can never needs emptying – no blow-by Clean exhaust Passes smog / AirCare every time with NO mods or adjustments required! ACT Xtreme clutch is totally smooth and streetable, easy in stop-and-go traffic. About 50% stiffer than stock. Fenders have room for 345 rear tires and 275 front tires. Wheels could be widened for $200 each to accommodate wider tires for that extreme massive look! Tein Flex coilovers - about 50% higher spring rate than stock. The perfect balance between incredible handling without an overly stiff ride. Also, the stiffness of the suspension can be adjusted from inside the car via the Tein EDFC controller.
