This car has lived much of its life in Arizona and it shows. Its previous owner was an elderly gentleman from Yuma who absolutely babied this car. He owned the car from around 1974 until the car was purchased out of his estate this year. During that time he drove the car very little and always had it garaged. Within the last few years he totally restored his pride and joy with a fresh paint job, fresh chrome, brand new top, and all new interior! The paint on the car is a few years old and is the original color of Fontaine Blue. The paint job is a nice driver quality job with a few chips and blemishes here and there, and I would not be ashamed to take it to car shows or out cruising. The chrome is nice and pit free due to the dry Arizona climate it has lived in. The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and look great! Top on the car is brand new and was redone to retain the original glass back window. The top is overall in new condition and goes up and down as it should. The car rides on four 15" Pontiac Rally wheels with whitewall Goodyear tires with plenty of tread left. The car also features the original beauty rings with Pontiac center caps inserted in the middle which gives the car a very nice look. The interior is super clean and was just freshened up with new vinyl seats, new carpet, new leather steering wheel wrap, and a gorgeous redone dash. The odometer shows a bit over 50,000, which is believed to be original miles since this car was only used on weekends and around town and is branded as ACTUAL miles by the Arizona title. Most of the rubbers throughout the car are new, and the rest are in good condition and are still very soft and pliable. The radio does not seem to be receiving stations, but the record player does work as well as the power antenna. The trunk interior is in very good condition and has a new correct mat. The full size spare is also still aboard as well as the jack and all original tools which all have been nicely restored. Trunk pan is solid and was just re-sprayed with correct spatter paint. Mechanically, this Pontiac runs GREAT! This car features the original 389ci Pontiac YC coded V8. The motor boasts around 350hp and 420ft lbs of torque...What a monster!! The complete drive train was just rebuilt in the last few years and runs like a top with no leaks. The tri-power, which was added later in the car's life, is dialed in and this baby screams! Everything is funneled through newer dual exhaust and sounds oh-so-good. Under the hood is very clean and detailed and looks very good. The car is also tight as a drum and has no fluid leaks. The car tracks straight and rides just like a Pontiac should! The car includes one set of original keys. It also has a very nice owners manual packet with all original pamphlets. All in all, this is one very nice Catalina. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. These 60's era Pontiac vehicles are becoming more and more collectible as the older ones disappear into collections, especially well maintained western cars like this. This Catalina is the kind of condition you can enjoy everyday or save it as an investment because with the kind of condition it is and its classic bodylines, it is now and will forever be a classic.
