This car was given to me in payment of a debt. I've driven it about 300 miles and tweeked a few things to make it a nice driver. There doesn't appear to be any mechanical issues, transmission issues, or functional issues. I also have some maintenance records that came with the car. It has a MAACO paint job dated August 2006 at a cost of $1,521.00. The trunk seal, door handle seals, and exterior decals were renewed in July 2006. It had a Maryland State Inspection in July 2006 and it passed without issues. The mileage at the time was 70,538. Again, in July of 2006, a set of BF Goodrich ZR rated G-Force tires were installed and they still appear to be new so the car has not been a daily driver. It has a new SONY CD/radio. The battery was replaced at the same time as the other listed improvements. Although exempt now due to the model year (qualifies for Historic Tag), it passed Maryland State Emissions in July 2008. The fuel filter was replaced. The starter was replaced. From the repair records, it appears that the speedometer stopped working in July 2006 and it was taken to shop for diagnosis. At that time, it had 70,538 miles. As of August 2006, it also has new shocks. As I said, I know the person who I got the car from and he had it parked in a garage 98% of the time. I've only seen him drive it once. I'm the one who suggested that he hand over the car lieu of paying me the cash that he owed. The car starts up and runs well and shifts through the gears as it should. As mentioned, at the buyer's choice, it can be tagged as a historic vehicle in most states and that usually means cheaper insurance and exemptions from emissions. I will accept realistic offers but don't waste my time or yours with stupid offers. The AC appears to work fine but is in need of a charge and the car takes R12 unless you convert it to R134 (about $450). I'm not going to that level. Also, the speedo still reads 70,538 so it was never fixed (probably a cable). Now you know as much as I do about this car. It seems like a great deal for an affordable sports car.
