You are bidding on a 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car. Vin # 9Y82S759384. This car has had one owner and has never been winter driven. She has 16,008 original miles / 25,763 original kilometers. The owner has passed and his wife has finally decided that it’s time to let this pristine automobile go to someone who will appreciate it as her husband did. Overall the car is in outstanding condition. The car has not been running for approx 5 years and new gas had to be added to get it started. It started and was running reasonable considering it had a quarter tank of old gas and 5 gallons of new gas. Her nephew drove the car to the local mechanic in town and the gas tank was drained and fresh gas put in. While in route the car was running rough and white smoke was coming from the tailpipe. The mechanic thinks there might be a possibility of the car needing head gaskets or there is still bad gas in the system. On the way home the car would not run properly and was brought home via tow truck. I have the mechanics comments and can e-mail them to you. The A/C is working but needs a recharge.
