Last year of the air-cooled 124cc (they went 123cc liquid in 81) and 1st year of the plastic tank...which is a HUGE plus for offroad! Excellent beginner or starter bike. Nice power to understand the powerband but not too much to throw the rider off. Engine is clean and doesn't show any signs of leaking. Oil is spotless. Fires right up usually on the 1st kick or 2nd. Trans shifts perfectly. Clutch feels fine with no slipping. I just went thru the carb, cleaned and set float height. No leaks. New racing fuel line. It's ready for a fuel filter....I was going to install one but couldn't find em. Bike is completely stock otherwise. New spark plug. Tank runs 32 to 1 fuel/oil and seems to be running perfect with minimal smoking. 20:1 is factory in 1980 but oil is better today. Nice powerband and idles decently. The only thing I can see the bike NEEDS is an airfilter (factory foam one is missing) and a few new screws to keep the clutch and brake handles tighter. Yes the seat is taped up. Tires have plenty of tread with the rear Dunlop looking pretty recent altho it sounds like the tube is pinched with a small leak. Brakes work fine. Chain is OK. Forks don't leak. Rear shocks seem to be soft but fine for trail riding. Install an air filter and GO! Minimal frame scrapes. No exhaust biffs. No signs of damages or shoddy welding. New footpegs below are included.
