You are bidding on a 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 coupe. Selling for a friend who is deceased and selling for his wife. The car is a red on red car, paint is thin and oxidized, the car is about rust free, floors and trunk are solid. All exterior chrome is nice, needs polishing. Car has a Ford big block motor ( i dont know what size, I have been told 390, 406 or 427, its not the original motor) (2 4 barrel Holley carbs) cast iron headers, mallory distributor, aluminum intake. Car is a factory power steering car. Car also is a 4 speed manual top loader transmission which shifts great and clutch is nice and tight. Car is very strong starts right up with no smoke or oil drips whatsoever. The engine was rebuilt but I dont know when. The car has front disc brakes and rear drums. Has cold air conditioning. Tires are in great shape have about 75% tread on them. All lights work, all new exhaust. Interior is factory red and in nice condition, no rips or tears. Overall this car is very presentable, paint could be polished out and driven as is or repaint to really make it nice. The only rust I could find is at the front hood lip shown in pic and some very minot pitting at some trim areas, very minor. Overall a nice driver. Car is a Z code car which makes it an original factory big block 390 car.
