1972 Opel GT VIN 772783018 Miles 98,000 Two owners I am the second Location Saratoga California Car has always been a California car, Never seen snow (or salt) always garaged Engine and Transmission upgraded by Gil at Opel GT Source (800-673-5487) to re-manufactured 2.1 liter Opel engine and five speed transmission at 74,365 miles (1/4/2001) complete overhaul all hoses replaced, Weber carb installed, new distributer etc etc complete list of parts available cost of overhaul $5755. So only 23,635 miles on new engine and transmission. I bought the car in 1990 from the original owner who had stopped driving it (63K miles on the clock) and put it on blocks in his garage where it remained for ten years until I bought it in 1990. He had put on alloy wheels which I think look great but I have the original rims (essentially brand new) if desired. Heated rear window , again the original is available. I put on a sport steering wheel but once again the original steering wheel is available if required.There is zero rust, paint is the original and is still in very good condition. The upholstery is also original but should probably be replaced. There is a dent in the rear where some @#$&@ idiot rear ended me--that is the only negative on a car in as pristine original condition as you will ever find.
