Up for bids is this 1979 Jeep CJ7 Renegade with the very rare white hardtop and full steel doors. Title in hand! The Jeep was just painted last week back to the original factory color and looks great. The decals have not been put back on the Jeep, but it is a true Renegade. I have pictures before the Jeep was painted to prove it. I bought the Jeep back in February with the intention of restoring it, but found a Golden Eagle and I now have no time for this Jeep. It has the original 258 straight 6 motor that runs strong! I drive this Jeep on the highway running 65 mph with no problem, but it does drive like a Jeep. It smokes a little when first started, but almost all old Jeeps do. It has the automatic transmission with the rare quadratrac option (all time four wheel drive with high and low range and emergency range). All four tires hold air, but do show some cracks. The floors are solid. The previous owner replaced the front floor pans, but did not cut out the old ones. So if you look under the Jeep, you can see the old rusted ones. The Jeep had some rust on the front fenders but were patched (can't even tell, look at the pictures). The frame is very solid. The front brake pads are starting to squeak when you turn the wheel sharp so the new owner will want to have those replaced. The hardtop is in nice shape and the hatch works fine. The top leaks a little at the windshield. The speedometer works, the temperature gauge works, the gas gauge works when it wants to. The volts gauge does not work, the oil pressure gauge works. The blinkers work, even the hazzard lights work. Both high and low beam head lights work. The tail lights work, but flicker some (probably a lose ground wire). The odometer works and the miles are correct. I have tried to list in detail as much as possible about this Jeep. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask.
