1965 Volkswagen Sedan 113. This car was shown in the May, 1998, issue of Car Collector magazine, and was photographed by European journalists alongside a prototype New Beetle in 1998. All numbers match (I have the VW factory letter from the early 1990s). I bought this car twenty years ago; it was in great shape when I got it, and I spent significant time and money in a detailed restoration to original specifications. A number of rare new old stock (NOS) parts were used in the restoration, and no detail has been overlooked. This is an AACA Senior Level car (it got “first junior” at the AACA National Meet in Spartanburg, SC, two years ago). Includes the original owner’s manual packet and license plate frame from Crain-Daly Volkswagen in Atlanta, as well as sales literature and other assorted documents. The car is legally registered in Georgia with an excellent, unrestored year-of-manufacture (YOM) 1965 plate, with correct county (2=DeKalb) and weight range (D) codes. Also included are a new spare tire (5.60x15 Firestone whitewall, which has never been on the ground), original jack and factory tool kit, and an original and very rare 1965 Bendix Sapphire II AM/FM radio which has been restored, and which works beautifully on both bands. Grey rubber floor mats and shift boot are original VW, not reproductions. The car is a stunner which gets lots of attention wherever it is driven. I have scrupulously maintained this car and it has always been garaged. I do not believe you will ever find a better example of a 1965 VW. Clear Georgia title.
