Vehicle Detail
1967 PORSCHE 911S VIN # 308006S. 1967 911S engine #960947. Very dry former Texas car with no serious rust issues. Car is red with black leatherette interior (originally Irish Green with black leatherette interior). Car has recently been gone through and over $10,000 has been spent with one of the Northeast’s best early 911 experts. Original floors are dry and solid with no rust. Front pan and rockers were replaced at some point during the car’s life. Body is in good condition with few minor issues. Interior is also very good and still has many original pieces including rear seats, original Porsche seatbelts, original visors and dash in very good condition. Car has 5 correct 4.5 x 15 Fuchs wheels with 4 new tires. The original owner’s manual and Certificate of Authenticity are included with the car. Engine has excellent compression and pulls very strong, but smokes. We believe rings are needed. Transmission needs a 3rd gear syncro but car shifts into all other gears smoothly and easily. Tachometer is not working. Recent work includes fuel lines, gas tank refinishing inside and out, brakes, valve adjustment, valve cover gasket, plugs, battery, exhaust studs, intake manifold stud, oil filter mount, lubrication of window mechanisms and tracks, etc. and repairing a dent in rear right of car. Autobahn Interiors recovered the front seat backs, rear window deck and arm rests in German vinyl A Photobucket page with over 180 pictures can be seen here… http://s196.photobucket.com/albums/aa149/jordanbochanis/1967%20911%20S%20%20FOR%20SALE/ Overall, the car presents very nicely and can easily become a turn-key driver or is the perfect candidate for a no-surprises restoration.
