This was my daily driver about 18 months ago. I got a new job and commute much farther so I got a commuter car. Then I got a bike and just don't have time to fix up or even drive it. If it's nice enough for the jeep, I'm on the bike. Condition- this wrangler needs work. I bought an overhaul kit for the rear brakes, including drums. I redid drivers side without the parking brake, but haven't done the passenger side. I have the kit and manual to do it. Front brakes are ok. I did NOT bleed the brakes, so I'd recommend doing it asap. I drove it 25 miles last weekend however. There's a couple small rust spots on the body, and rusting through the drivers floorpan. Paint's peeling off the hood. The windshield just cracked about 3 weeks ago, they're available online for $100. The radio and horn don't work, and there's probably about 25% tread left on the tires. I put a new engine with 97k on it with 167 on the jeep, so there's about 146 on the engine but the odometer reads 216. Last year I replaced the thermostat and water pump, put in new coolant and syn oil. The 4x4 works. Gears grind a little going into 3rd, but have for about 5 years, no issues. Battery and exhaust are 3 years old. I ripped out the carpeting and put down black truck bed liner. I do have the spare tire and back seat. The jeep runs great mechanically and is drivable-just needs some cosmetic rust work, brakes, windshield. One solid weekend of work and a few bucks would really revive this jeep.
