Vehicle Detail
2002 Kia Rio Wagon converted to electric. What is done so far: Removed exhaust, gas tank etc. items not needed for electric car. Had special made by machine shop transmission mount to electric motor. Motor installed and connected to manual transmission MOTOR is an Advance DC 19.5 HP double shaft motor, see it on Cloud Electric for $1,900 plus shipping. WHAT IS NEEDED: 12-12 volt batteries, controller and charger. Install of motor done by certified mechanic. Clean and clear title. Car will probably need new carpet and a good cleaning, upholstery is dirty and carpet stain is a mystery. One of the tires has a slow leak. There is normal wear and tear to inside and outside of car and some scratches on outside maybe not normal but they are all in the photos. I had planned to have it wrapped with advertising so I wasn’t concerned cosmetics about it. Still looks good. Just some scratches or small dents here and there as seen in photos. Electric motor has zero miles on it and car has 119K on it. I sold an engine identical to the one in this car and it worked great for a similar project. Please ask questions before bidding. You will either need to know how to finish this car or know someone who can help or get a book. I’m not sure where to take it from here but I know it can be done. This motor is supposed to do highway speeds and be very good for electric cars. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end and balance within 3 days. Buyer responsible for moving car within 7 days. This is a project and should be considered as such. Car is sold as-is where is. Inspections can be arranged prior to bidding. NO RESERVE! I invested so far: $1,900 for the motor (plus shipping) $1,000 for custom machine shop made mount to transmission $1,500 for the Kia Rio $1,200 Mechanic to remove unnecessary parts and install electric motor _______ $5,600
