West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and rust free example of this highly desirable 1970 year of production of this original southern California Cadillac De Ville Convertible with all it's original factory specifications including it's original 472 c.i. 375 HP V8 engine with all recent service history of the last two years documenting an amazing and quite frankly, quite staggering and almost unbelievable amount of literally tens of thousands of dollars in upgrades and the replacement of virtually both every major and minor mechanical component and the reconditioning of the seats and top! The 1970 Cadillac DeVille is considered by enthusiasts as the most desirable of the late sixties Cadilac DeVille's due to it's being the last year of production of the larger 472/375HP engine of the 1967-70 year models. This particular example was purchased new by it's original Burbank, southern California owner and sold to its second southern California owner in November 1988. The car has no signs of any accidents and is absolutely gorgeous in 'Cotillion White’ color paint with a black power soft top and black leather interior! The car is a perfect addition to any Cadillac collector's collection or simply a fantastic example of this icon of American engineering when owning a Cadillac had become a symbol of financial success and achievement! The car drives almost like it must have when it left the factory floor over 40 years ago - the car has had an extensive mechanical restoration over the last two years with work completed at 'Galpin Motors' of Van Nuys, California with only very few miles since a complete custom engine rebuild and overhaul including rebuilding the engine, machining engine block, grind and polish crankshaft, replace pistons and rings, all engine bearings, replace rods, replace cam and lifters, replace timing chain and gears, replace oil pump, replace all seals and gaskets, balance engine, resurface and recondition cylinder heads, new valve springs, replace freeze plugs and seals and gaskets, recharge A/C system, remove and replace radiator, overhaul carburetor, new spark plugs, wires, upper and lower radiator hoses, dipstick, fan belts, starter, AC Delco Battery, replace exhaust system and manifolds and replace with new or rebuilt parts: water pump, thermostat, electronic ignition kit, engine and transmission mounts, fuel pump assembly, electric cooling fan with thermostatic control, neutral safety switch, oil pressure switch, oil pressure sender, water gauge and the installation of custom engine gauges to monitor engine temperature, oil pressure and electronic feed, fabricated and installed where the ashtray is located and in a way that the gauge cluster will follow the contours of the dash and look like a factory option!
