This might come as a surprise, but I’m selling this car for the same reason I bought it! That might sound strange, but please let me explain. I have a lot of cars, well over 30. Some flashy but mostly just rare cars that I by to please myself and no one else. I have had a few Ferrari’s in the past, and to no ones surprise, all of them red except for one. The one thing I always hated is the people who buy a car just to be noticed, and don’t appreciate the car for what it is. Of all the kinds of car owners I find that the Lamborghini and Ferrari are the worst. The guys with the Ferrari shirts, watch, and shoes, with that hey look at me attitude. I hate these poseurs!!! So when I decided to buy a Ferrari I didn’t want to come off as one of these kind of guys. So my quest was to find a car that would fill my needs, and not give people the wrong impression of me. After a long and tedious search I found the perfect car, a 1990 348tb. What made the car so special ,was that it was silver with a tan interior, Ferrari only built 8 of these cars in a tb. Knowing that the car was rare made things even sweeter when I talked to the 81 year old owner, and original owner at that. A 1 of 8 car, original owner, California car, with all service up to date…how could I not buy it? The negotiations took longer then I ever could have expected! The owner kept telling me what he wanted for the car, based on the fact that he paid $124,000 for the car 20 years ago, and the car is now a collectors item. Finally the guy wore me down, and with his sweet charm talked me into paying a stupid amount for this car (If I told you what I paid for the car you wouldn‘t believe me). Well the car is now all mine and it is beautiful! I can drive this car anywhere and not give off the wrong impression of who I am. I can fly underneath the radar! For the most part, “I loved this“, but then something happened. A friend of mine is selling his yellow 430. I know if I buy it, it will send out the wrong message to everyone who see’s me in it, but I don’t care. So I am going from incognito, to hey look at me. The 348tb is in beautiful to immaculate condition inside and out. The only mark on the body is a little scratch the size of the tip of a pen, on the door handle button. When you get in the car it still smells like it did when it was new, that wonderful Ferrari leather smell. If you’re looking for a car to drive on that special occasion or just to car shows, this car would be perfect. You could even use it as a daily driver because it is super reliable. This car would look right at home on the grass at the Pebble Beach car show. The car has always been a California car, despite the fact that I have it registered in Arizona. I did that because in Arizona I don’t have to pay sales tax on private party purchase, and this saved me about $6,500. The only thing not stock / original on the car is the new CD player I had installed, with a new power antenna.
