Welcome! You are viewing a very well taken care of Austin Mini Cooper. This car is in great shape and ready for a new owner. This car is titled in the United States as a 1968 Cooper, However there was a title error upon coming to the states. I have the British Motor Industry paperwork showing the build date of June 21, 1966 with the Chassis Number on this paperwork matching the US VIN.
The exterior of this Cooper is in great shape!!! The color is a tomato red with a black top and black fender flares. The car rides on 10 in brand new Kumho rubber. The "moonroof" operates to perfection with no tears or rips in the top. There is a tiny spot of rust on the right rear fender seam which i took a picture of. It is just starting to show.
There interior of this car has had some work done. There is new carpets and new seat covers in the car but that is about it. The gauges are all in good shape. There are some door panels that are loose and some interior plastic pieces missing. This care is RIGHT-HAND drive and drives great.
There are a few things that need to be fixed on the car to make it 100% street legal. The windshield wipers do not work and neither do the brake lights. The rest of the lights work on the car. The speedometer and the odometer do not work but the rest of the gauges work.
The car is a 4 speed manual with a 998cc motor. The carbs and generator have been gone thru by the previous owner, which I have receipts for. The only aftermarket work done to the motor are the twin K&N air filters. There is an oil leak under the motor which I have not looked into. I have driven the car around town and even on the highway. The leak should be looked into though.
This car is ready to cruise up and down the strip and be shown off. It gets more looks then most of the cars on my lot. People drive in just to take their picture with the car.
