Clear title, been in my name for over 10 years. 1968 Mustang Convertible. 6 cyl Engine will turn over, was strong running when it was last started a year ago. Transmission is shot. In 2001 body off restoration was started. In 2001 the following work was done, Engine was removed new engine well welded in place, new gas tank was put in back, full face rear quarters were welded on, new front fenders, new door skins were welded on, new hood, new deck lid, power steering replaced, carb was professionally rebuilt, high velocity fan put in place, hydraulic cylinders for top replaced, interior removed and metal panels welded in floor then sealed. Lots of smaller panel and item replacement done also. After the work was done a coat of paint was put on to seal the work, the car was about to go in for final paint job then someone backed into passenger side door. I didn’t have the time to put another door skin on it so it started to sit. while it sat someone then backed into the driver side fender. Those two areas are the only dents on the exterior of the car. The canvas on the top is shreaded but the hinges are good. The car has sat outdoors with a tarp over it. The car has sat for a long time with all of the chrome off and windows out. My intention was always to go back to working on the car. Six month ago the house that I was storing all of the chrome and parts that were off of the car (including bumpers and windows) was broken into. All the parts that were off of the car were stolen from me. I dot have the heart to replace the parts that were lost or go back to working on this car at a future date.On Jul-03-11 at 16:56:13 PDT, seller added the following information: 7/3/11 Putting new pictures up. I cleaned off the points and put some fresh gas in the car (and took the battery out of the car I was driving..) The mustang started up. Engine still runs. Transmission still wont go into gear.
