Volvo Styling………… Full Instrumentation……. 2.4 Liter 24-Valve Turbo Powerplant ……… Maintenance Log… Description: The Volvo V70-series wagon represents a good value for someone needing the extra capacity of a mid-sized wagon. These vehicles are a refreshed version of the 850 series that proved to be very reliable. This clean wagon includes a full service and prior service log documented in the owner’s manual. The prior owner really kept this clean sedan up and it drives down the road as smooth as glass! Make this one yours! Options: Finished in emerald green with a soft tan accent stripe and mocha leather upholstery, this VERY CLEAN 1998 Volvo V70 GLT Turbo wagon features about everything that you expect in a Swedish sport wagon beginning with the smooth and responsive 2.4 Liter 24-Valve Turbo powerplant teamed with an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic overdrive transaxle, driver, passenger and side SRS (air bags), Volvo’s own SIPS (side impact protection system), fully automatic dual zone climate control featuring a factory R134a refrigerant charge, 4-wheel ABS (anti-lock brakes), power windows, central locking system, power mirrors, power driver’s front seat, factory alloy wheels, factory sound system, 4-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, service reminder system, power sunroof, rear window/rear view mirror defroster much more! Yet ANOTHER Clean Southern Ride! This vehicle is riding on a very good set of touring tires! NOTE: The AutoCheck is reporting an accident in 2001 regarding a front impact. I’ve looked over the car and see a minor scuff on the bumper and perhaps a turn signal lens damaged. That’s it. During the service, we didn’t note any other items. Appears to have been very minor. No big deal. Service and Inspection Report: We brought this clean Volvo in for service and found a few things in need of attention to make the vehicle ready for the next owner. The prior owner had kept this vehicle in very good condition and it appears to have been serviced. We started with an oil/filter change and installed the correct oil plug drain washer. Continuing under the hood, we installed a NEW TIMING BELT and Denso® brand spark plugs. We typically change plugs with timing belt service. That’s done! While we were under the hood, we noticed some very slight seeping of coolant along the radiator seam so rather than “let ‘er go” like most of the Elmer Fudd dealers, we installed a new radiatior. While we were servicing the cooling system, we went ahead and installed a new coolant reservoir and hose connecting the reservoir to the engine coolant manifold. Both items we consider service items when the cooling system is serviced. Before we finished up under the hood, we scanned the vehicle’s computer system and noted that the upstream oxygen sensor was a bit slow to respond. Because so many of our customers live in areas where emission testing is required, we went ahead and replaced that oxygen sensor. That’s real service! Before we wrapped up the cooling system, we checked the heater core and decided to install a new one. With a new radiator, the right thing to do is to install a new heater core and o-ring kit. Both are now done for you. Moving along, the climate control worked perfectly so we replaced the cabin air filter as a general maintenance item. The brakes looked good, front and rear. As is usually the case, we installed new wiper blades. Rather than “let ‘er go” like most dealers, we like you to have new blades. All in all, we did what would have amounted to $2,800 worth of service to this vehicle if you bought all of this after the sale yourself! Shop around and then ADD IT UP! To qualify, you must send the deposit of 20% of the vehicle price as listed in the "terms" section of the listing, followed by another 25% 30 days later, another 25% 60 days later and the balance of the vehicle at 90 days. There is a storage fee after the first 30 days (first 30 days are at no charge) and we offer the storage up to 90 days when the balance is to be paid in full. You can take up to 90 days to pay for the vehicle as long as you follow the payment schedule that is posted.
