Up for auction is my 2003 Ford Escape Limited 4X4. This SUV has every option available, including: Leather seats, power sunroof, heated mirrors, power driver's seat, heated seats, 7 speaker Mach audio system, rear parking sensors, auto headlights, full-time AWD which you can "lock", trailer hitch, auto-dimming rearview mirror, ect. And of course it has all the standard things you would expect in a newer car like power windows/locks/mirrors, keyless entry, alarm system, CD Player, A/C, ect. I haven't had this Escape very long as I bought it from a friend who desperately needed to get rid of it because he was buying a new truck THAT DAY. I thought it would be fun to have around the house for Home Depot runs and fishing trips, but in reality it just sits and sits and sits, and is a pain to move around the driveway. So, I'm selling it. This truck drives VERY nicely. It runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly without any issues. The brakes stop well without any vibrations, squeals, or shudders. I was told it has new front pads and rotors and new rear shoes. The truck rides very well and recently had two rear shocks replaced. No weird noises or issues from the suspension. The tires are very new, and matching as you can see in the pictures. It also had a new catalytic converter installed recently. I replaced all 6 of the ignition coils ("Coil on Plug" design) to cure a random misfire it had when I bought it. The exterior of the truck is in pretty good condition, and it looks very nice for its age. Please note on the rear bumper there are some scuffs and scratches where the previous owner backed into something. Around the front, it looks like the previous owner hit something with the lower driver's side bumper. I actually have a new foglight and bracket that was included when I bought the truck, it never bothered me. The interior of the trucks is, again, in pretty good condition for the age. There is some typical wear and tear, but the leather has no major defects, nor does anything else really. Non-smoker car. There are a few issues that need to be mentioned so there are no surprises to the buyer: The A/C needs to be charged, the check engine light is on from the aforementioned mis-fire I was getting in cylinder #5 when I bought it. Since then I replaced the coil and got rid of the misfire but haven't had the check engine light reset because I don't own a code-reader. The two codes stored are misfire in cylinder #5 and misfire detected under 1000RPMs. NOTHING ELSE. Finally, there sounds like there is a small exhaust leak when you really get on the gas. Overall, this is a really nice SUV for someone that needs it. I don't need a third car around the house and therefore it's has not been worth any kind of investment to repair the few issues. My loss, your gain - but I just want it gone so I don't have to insure it anymore. Terms and Conditions: Although this truck is in great overall condition, the age and miles force me sell it AS-IS.
